Room was stuffy and smelled stale so we kept the windows open to air it out. If it was colder out that would have been tough to do. Breakfast was subpar...we couldn't have eaten it for a third day. Boiled eggs, cold ham, fruit salad had gone bad. No gluten free options and the yogurt was warm so we passed on that. The parking situation was tough. There was no more room for valet when we arrive so thankfully we were able to find underground parking the next block over. Lots of restaurants and museums in the area so so it's in a great central location!

Location is great and staff is friendly and fast. However, we got clean towels with other people’s hair on it and new glasses a bit dirty. Breakfast long is not taking care during service having letting the tables dirty in between guests and the trash bin overflow. The room and washroom were small for a king bed (couple) and extremely hot with no option of AC, when it says there’s an AC in the booking description. Also, it had zero soundproof. First night was a nightmare, we heard our active room neighbours opening the washroom tap, flushing, showering, even arguing, throughout the night.

The rooms are fantastic and the linens were excellent. Our bed was a cloud and a welcome respite after a long day of walking and sight seeing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our only issue was with breakfast. While there is a number of breakfast items to choose from, the coffee was absolutely terrible and there was no variety on a day to day basis. Also, the breakfast attendant wasn’t attentive enough to notice that the juice was running out, or the croissants had run out, or there wasn’t any more coffee.

The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. My room was large with a comfy king bed, but no view (very quiet). The bathroom/shower were adequate. I appreciated the small espresso machine in the room. Take note: if you object to stairs you won’t like it, as there are no elevators and quite a few stairs from street to main level. The location is very good, minutes to the fine art museum and “Guy” metro stop. Breakfast is very basic, nothing fancy.

I had 2 one night reservations in the past 8 days. There was a problem with one through no fault of the hotel. They were understanding and handled it better than I had hoped. Very few businesses like this exist anymore and I can’t wait to stay there again. The hotel was in an incredible central location and is very historic. It’s a neat way to experience a little historic charm in an amazing city. Do yourself a favour and just book this one.
