Clean, quiet cabin. Several cabins fairly close by on the property. A thicket of trees separates the property from a golf course and it is a couple of blocks from a highway, so not exactly secluded. That isn't necessarily a negative. I felt safe there and it was easy to find with the directions from the host It was a quiet environment and very pleasant to sit out on the deck which was shaded by a tree at Cabin 2. Unlike some of the other cabins, mine had only two steps up to the deck, so access was quite easy. Had a nice stone fireplace that would've been cozy if I was there in winter. As it was in the mid- nineties. I appreciated the AC. Had everything I needed for making simple meals. Bed was very comfortable, and was a great base for day hikes to many different areas of the Shawnee, not just Giant City. Close to places to get gas, groceries, too. Good value and I hope to stay there on my next trip.

Great value and plenty of room, with a nice deck and BBQ. Cabin 2 had separate rooms and a very spacious living room. I would stay there again and it is my favorite for the region.

Nice spot off the beaten path

If you are looking for something small, off of the beaten path, clean, and pleasant, this is your spot. We needed a spot for a central hub to fall asleep in between youth camp activities. I will say that the couch and chair were pretty stiff but not unbearable. I know after a few rentals, this host will be happy to replace them. They had just about everything that you need. Near the golf course, it is also a great spot to take a break for a day or so and enjoy a few rounds of golf.

Perfect cabin for relaxing stay. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water. Well equipped right down to snacks! Price was affordable and the host was responsive.The only upgrade possibility would be a new couch. That one has seen better days!

Nice little cabin

Nice little cabin conveniently located near Carbondale. Also close to Giant City National Park and lodge as well as many of the wineries in the area. Cabin was very clean and near perfect size for a couple or small family. Just was easy to communicate with and had no problem dealing with him.

Great stay!

This place was perfect for our weekend stay. The cabin was clean and cozy, thought it could be buggy due to the location but not one in sight. We used the pullout couch bed which was good for our needs but the mattress is thin so it was helpful we brought a second comforter to add more cushioning. Also, the host was very attentive and responsive. Place had everything we needed and I would definitely stay again!
