"I booked this rental for a week to fish from my kayak because it was a waterfront property with access to the bay. There is a huge ma and pap hunting/fishing store 10 min away that I would recommend to pick up bait and gear. I did catch some keeper size crabs right off the dock as well as a nice sized shad in the coan river area with a minnow.To those looking to spend time on the water this is a great location. There is even a private sandy beach with room to put towels down and relax by the water. There are not a ton of restaurants or non water related activities nearby, but this was not a problem because I was busy boating in the nice weather all week. I did pick up some steamed crabs from a nearby seafood market that were tasty. There was one day that the wind was low and the biting flies terrorized my dog to the point she was bleeding. This happened close to shore about a quarter mile NW of Judith sound where I believe there was stagnant water nearby. Those suckers are tenacious and followed me and my dog over a mile out into open water, but I did not have any issues with flies near the rental or anywhere else. They may have been attracted to the stinky shrimp I was using as bait. I also really enjoyed the hottub in the evenings when the temperatures dropped. It is a high end model and well maintained. Overall I would recommend this rental. "
