First of all, I like this hotel. the king suites are comfortable, well maintained and have so many features. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is a bonus, the swivel TV (moves living room to bed area is great. The fitness room is available 24 hours. I love the in hotel access to Starbucks and the Krispy Kreme donut kiosk. The price is mid-range and great for couples, business trips.
The staff are the typical California semi-polite customer service. I used the Marriot app to check in and the front desk attendant argued with me that Marriot doesn't have one. I ended up having to check in again. I'm not sure why hotels have express features that they don't use or don't train their staff how to use.
In my experience, the hotel shuttle is always slow, or broken down, or . I've either waited 30+ minutes OR just given up and gotten an Uber. Don't count on it if you're in a rush. It's just something I've come to expect since the pandemic, so I'm ok with my choice to get an Uber.
Pros: Clean, big rooms, easy to check in, access to fitness and Starbucks.
Cons: The free breakfast is minimal, often out of items even early in the day. It's an environmental nightmare of plastic covered plastic utensils; not pleasant for those who are concerned about the environment. Don't wait for the hotel shuttle if you're on a time crunch
