Road leaving the lake.
Kay's creek parkway is short and sweet. It's really pretty to walk. The #creek itself begins in three several canyons, adjoining before Layton Park and making its way into the #greatsaltlake.
After the switchbacks take the ridge trail. You will know it's the one because you will dread going up the steep, loose gravel. It ends after the first major hill. The trail has a huge incline the entire way and isn't for the faint of heart. It passes caves and a few trees, but overall not much shade or water. The trail ends at this cabin. You can go inside. It's a general rule of thumb to use something only if you need it, and leave anything extra to be used, should somebody get stranded.
