Wonderful stay at Village Kyoto We absolutely loved our time at Village Kyoto; it exceeded expectations in every way. The location is perfect: right in the heart of the city, within easy walking distance of Nishiki Market, the Gion area, and plenty of restaurants and shops. You really feel immersed in Kyoto without being overwhelmed by noise. The hotel feels modern and well-designed, and the staff are genuinely professional, efficient, and friendly. Check-in was smooth, and everyone we interacted with was polite and helpful. Little touches made the stay extra special: complimentary sake and ice cream available in the lobby, which was such a fun surprise. The onsen facilities (indoor baths and sauna) were very nice and the perfect way to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Rooms are beautifully appointed and come with everything you could need: comfortable beds, yukata robes, high-quality toiletries, complimentary bottled water, tea/coffee facilities, and great showers with strong water pressure. For the level of comfort, location, and amenities, it felt like excellent value for money. We’ll definitely choose Village Kyoto again on our next trip and can’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

Loved our rooms, very very thoughtful design, lots of little details like the tatami floors in the bedroom were lovely touches. The tables also were very flexible for eating or working. Overall the best rooms we got in Japan! The only area of improvement were the onsens. They were nice but, a single large tub was the only option. It fine but doesn't feel as satisfying as onsens with sauna and cold bath.

Room is clean, but smaller however it is more than enough for 3 people. Accommodating and helpful staff. What I liked the most were FREE Onsen and Ice Candy. Location is ideal, really close to train station. Everything is accessible. We did not avail breakfast.

I did not try the breakfast option. They have some great freebies like unlimited sake tasting, a public bath house and they have a matcha tea set in the room free to use. Free water bottles for their customers, which was very handy as we would ask for water bottles in the morning before heading out and exploring. All in all it was a great accommodation and I would be very open to staying again!

Clean and new. Looks like modern Ryokan with shared hot tub and free ice cream near the hot tub area. But the place Abit far from attractions and meeting area of the attractions. There is washing and dryers area but when I go a lot need to queue to use and capacity is very small.

You should definitely stay here

Bus and train station, 7-11 and a grocery store all right by within a stone's throw. Such an amazing price for this place. LARGE room, so clean. Polite staff that speaks English. Free pickles, sake, matcha, pjs, and make your own bookmark. Everything is just thoughtful!!! Would 100% stay again.

Absolutely loved this place in Kyoto! Easy train ride to local tourist shopping sites and all the amenities was perfect! The breakfast was also so yummy!! 10/10 experience and definitely want to stay here again when I come back to Kyoto, Japan.
