I have travelled with my family around the world and this would have to be our favorite Hotel so far. It doesn’t feel like a hotel, but rather an upscale serviced apartment. The room size is big and spacious and the location is absolutely fantastic with restaurants and transportation all around you. The staff are super nice with suggestions for dining, for currency exchange places, transportation advice, so on and so on. After exploring all day, it’s great to come back to the hotel and see a smiling face and super comfortable rooms. There is a washer and dryer in the room and this really helps, especially during the warmer months. We left Kyoto and moved to Osaka and the family are already missing the Hotel and the area. We can’t wait to go back to Stitch Hotel. Thank you so much for taking care of us.

This was the best hotel we stayed at in Japan. It was brand new and the design was so stylish. A boutique, luxury hotel. The room was amazing - spacious, luxurious and airy with great views over Kyoto to the hills. Such a pleasure to relax in and come back to after our days out in Kyoto. The metro and train station was steps away which made it easy to get around and also to leave for Osaka. The main street into downtown Kyoto from Gion was also steps away but because the hotel is on a side street, you don't get the passing traffic - cars or foot traffic. You can step straight out of the hustle into quiet. Pontocho Alley is a stones throw away, we walked to the Nikishi Markets and across into Gion. The kids thought they were royalty staying here and they loved the complimentary drinks in the lobby. They would go down every morning and help themselves to iced cocoas. I would whole-heartedly recommend this hotel to all. Thank you for an amazing stay.

We had an amazing stay at Stitch Hotel in Kyoto! Perfect is the word that comes to mind when I think about this hotel and its staff. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and exactly like the pictures. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the fully equipped kitchen was a wonderful bonus. It truly felt like a home in Kyoto. The location is excellent — with a convenience store next door, plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, attractions within walking distance, and train stations very close. It was the ideal base for exploring the city. A big thank you to the staff! Everyone we met was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect — greeting us with a smile, offering tips, answering questions, and even calling the elevator for us. Truly outstanding service. We also enjoyed the cozy lounge area in the lobby and the free coffee and tea provided — a lovely touch. We highly recommend Stitch Hotel and would definitely stay here again!

I cannot praise this hotel enough. The room was very spacious, everything very new and in perfect condition, staff always attentive / courteous. Great for couples or groups. Overall it was our favourite stay during our trip to Japan. Location is fantastic, just across the river from Ginza, a block away from Pontocho, and the best connections by bus or trains to anywhere in Kyoto.

I mean wow! What can I say about this wonderful gem of a boutique property. Super cool retro-modern interior, great layout, textures, lighting, and furnishings. 5-star accommodations, for a 3-star price, excellent value. You also have in suite laundry machine, and well equipped kitchenette, good size fridge/ freezer. I hope this starts a trend of refurbished properties done right for todays sophisticated family traveler. Location isn't bad either, lol!

LOVE this hotel!!!

We absolutely loved this hotel! It was beautiful, the service was amazing, and it was centrally located in Kyoto. There’s a Family Mart right next door, which is very convenient. The washer/dryer is so great to have in the room. The only drawback is that the beds are too firm.

The location is extremely good; I would definitely stay here again. Great sized room for a family of five if you don't mind sharing double beds. The bunk bed was a little hot at the top level but the air con was cold, that's just Kyoto summer for you! The large window and the night view was great, the washing machine was very clean and useful. Familymart literally on the doorstep. The toiletries are plentiful and good quality. My only issue I could find was the patchy WiFi and the TV not working via internet, only local channels, but I'm sure the staff would have fixed it (I did not ask for help as I didn't need to use it). The staff are friendly, the free coffee/water/ice machine is good in summer. The shower is large and the water is hot enough. Overall this is one of the best places we have stayed!

I can't rate the STITCH HOTEL Kyoto highly enough and have already recommended it to some friends and family who are considering a trip to Kyoto. The hotel is in a position close to shops and small streets of restaurants, an area where there is lots around but it is nice and quiet. The rooms are extremely generous and have all the comforts of home (big beds, toiletries, washing machine/dryer, dining table, couch and TV) and unline other Japanese hotels they are very roomy. The staff were welcoming and extremely friendly everytime we came in and out of the hotel. Book this hotel, I don't think you could possibly be disappointed!

What an awesome experiences in Stitch Hotel. First of all, great location in not only for public transportation, such as JR, local buses, but also walking distance to restaurants, and world tourist attractions in Koyoto. Secondly, we would like to shout out the front receptionists in Stitch Hotel. specially ‘’Thea, Yoshi,and Sumi, you girls are well trained and knowledgeable surroundinggs that gave us all the questions we requested. Once we. questioned which restaurants we wanna go, then all the sudden, they provided at least 5 options, then next night, they all well- prepared another 5 different restaurants in their pocket. I definitely recommend traveler whom should try this newly opened hotel, clean, well communication, and fun place to interact. Thank you so much that we had great time living, grateful appreciated.
