We had written multiple messages to the property requesting for an early check-in, and we received replies from them. But only after we reached the property, did we get to know that these were AI-generated and the property wouldn't accommodate early check-in request even if we were willing to pay the extra charges. We had travelled all night, tired and dirty, and it was really hard for us to wait until 3PM for our rooms.

Front desk staff were very helpful and able to communicate in English, they will help you in resolving any issues with the room and facilities, and they will also help with engaging the luggage forwarding service. There is a call center service as well if needed so there's always help on hand. Room and facilities in the hotel were excellent and the rooms are on the bigger side so they were very comfortable for a longer stay. Location was quiet and walkable to the train station, right outside the hotel is a shopping street with tons of restaurants and also a supermarket so you can get anything you need. Recommended for a stay if you are looking to be around the Gion area.

Great!

Location wise it was okay. There’s a shopping street downstairs and it’s about a 10min walk from public transport which isn’t too bad unless you have plenty of luggages like we did. My partner and I enjoyed the room, especially the bathroom with the heated toilet seat haha! The fridge was a bit weaker but it didn’t bother us too much. A full/half sized mirror would’ve made the room amazing.
