Perfect location

Incredible view and location of this condo at Makena Surf. If you want to be right on the ocean, this is the spot! Great sandy beach and snorkeling with the turtles right out front. Close enough to everything we wanted to do on Maui. Will definitely stay here again!

Hawaiian Perfection!

This condo provided the perfect home away from home for us. Not only does the unit have gorgeous decor and lighting, but was immaculately clean and provided everything you could possibly need from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The views off the lanai are breathtaking and a perfect place for a sunset dinner. The property was also perfection... quiet, clean, gorgeous gardens with a large pool and easy access to the beach. Without question we will be back!

Great visit with teenage grandsons

Makena Surf residences lived up to its reviews as an excellent base for exploring Maui. The lovely beach, pools, and jazuzzi onsite provided perfect entertainment for our teenage grandsons. Location felt private and secluded, with lovely plantings, yet still near excellent restaurants and stores in Wailea and Kihei. Our unit, F208, was as advertised, updated and comfortable, with fine view. Highly recommend.

Our Paradise

This condo was perfect for our group (2couples). This unit was beautifully decorated and was exactly as pictured. We enjoyed the turtles popping their heads up to check out the folks snorkeling daily. The beach was steps away and we enjoyed the beach chairs that were available at our condo. We golfed a number of times at the Wailea Golf Club (Gold and Emerald courses). We also enjoyed beautiful sunsets from our private lanai. The staff was very accommodating and so nice. Thank you PS The beds were extremely comfortable Mahalo

Wow!

This stunning rental will leave you saying nothing but wow! The view, large lanai, layout and amenities of condo, as well as the service from Destination residences made our stay one of our best yet. Not to mention all that the property of Makena Surf has to offer.... from the beautiful beach area to the snorkeling right front, the shady pools, the cleanliness and security of the property all make this one of the best places to stay on Maui. As always, we cannot wait to return!

Perfect spot to enjoy Maui!

I highly recommend this unit. It is exactly like the pictures depict. The view is phenomenal! We saw whales, beautiful sunsets and 180 degree views every day from the lanai! The beach there is great - we rented kayaks that we had dropped off and explored the surrounding area. You can snorkel with turtles right in front of the condo. The grounds were pretty and quiet. Beach chairs and boogie boards were proved. The management company checked on us every day but we didn’t need a thing! Everything including the wifi worked perfectly for us!

Perfect location

My favorite place on Maui after more than thirty years coming here. Have stayed in many of the units at Makena surf and they all vary in one way or another. I’ll be honest, this unit was pretty dull. It wasn’t bad but it has very cheap uncomfortable furniture, feels dark inside and dated and cave like. But hey, who cares?! We are outside in nature most of the time.

Decided to Get Married Here

Finally getting around to writing about our great time here. The unit is completely remodeled, private, right on the ocean and has a spectacular view of the islands and beach. Weddings happen on the beach all the time. Watching them we decided to get married here. We also sent my wife's son and his new wife here to stay for their honeymoon last year. They loved it as much as we did. The unit has two bedrooms and baths so you can bring the kids, but it's even better without them (master shower is big enough for two). This year Fiji, next year we'll be back.

Wonderful family vacation!

Awesome! The view (over 180 degrees) was spectacular. We watched whales and turtles everyday from the lanai. Loved how the lanai doors opened completely and brought the outside in. There is a beautiful beach for relaxing and fantastic snorkling adjacent to the property. Our family of 5 adults was very comfortable. This unit was nicely updated with comfortable couches, beds, seating and the master bedroom's double headed "rain" shower was a huge plus! We had all the cooking utensils/supplies we needed plus more to cook there everynight. It was also nice having the grill right on the lanai and a complete herb garden on property! In addition, we ate at a nearby restaurant called the Monkey Pod Kitchen that was delicious. Enjoyed our stay very much and we will be back!

Wonderful Family Vacation

The place was nice and clean had all the needed amenities in the kitchen and a gorgeous view of the ocean. Looked like the pictures. It was so nice to sit with our coffee in the morning and enjoy the beautiful view from the patio and the breeze in the afternoon. Having the pool close was a plus with our kids. The beds were so comfy minus the pull out. Our teen son struggled sleeping as the center sunk in a lot. Having housekeeping come midstay was nice to get new towels and sheets. Only 3 beach chairs were provided though so we did have to rent all other beach accessories for or stay. Friends stayed in other units and were provided much more so that was a little bummer. Overall loved the property and would stay again!

Maui Mellow

Loved the place, such a view and so relaxing, only marked down for check in because I was not sent the info needed to be completed prior to getting the access codes for the room. Or given the car gate access code so we had to call the security guard each time, the code we were given was for the pedestrian gates. However, once we were connected to the proper person he was excellent at getting us all checked in on the phone. The listing stated boogie boards were available but they were not, would have been nice to have, kitchen well equipped which was enjoyable since so many restaurants did not have reservations available or were still closed. Looking forward to coming again, beautiful location. Thanks for offering it.

A week in Paradise

A Previous reviewer got it right .......WOW!. We had such a wonderful time at the condo. Our expectations were high on what to expect but they were exceeded in every way. From the moment we opened the door and could see the BLUE ocean to the short stroll to the beach along the patio’s paradise like walkway followed by rounding the corner to the beach that provided the most amazing breathtaking panoramic view of everything Hawaii. Then of course came sunset, viewed almost daily from the large Lanai, an ever changing canvas throughout the sunset and every evening starting with a clean sheet. The Condo itself was very elegant without being stuffy in the least, it allowed us to lay back with ample room and comfort for each of the 5 in our party. All creature comforts and more were provided. The restaurants we found to be very good and returned to least a couple of times were the the Cafe ole, 808 and the Sansei. Can't wait to get back there! Mahalo

Makena Surf #F208 has unbeatable views and location!

We stayed at Makena Surf #F208 last week and we all absolutely loved it! Our group consisted of me and my husband, our two young daughters, and my parents. We stayed for five nights and it didn't feel long enough! My husband and I have been to Maui once before and stayed in Kapalua, so we weren't very familiar with the Wailea/Makena area. There are an overwhelming amount of options for rental condos and we put hours of research into deciding where to stay. I am so happy that we chose to stay at Makena Surf! The view of the ocean and the close proximity to the beaches are unbeatable. Waking up early in the morning you have a breathtaking view of the stars, and the view of the sunset from the lanai is something you'll want to catch every day. Also, don't miss snorkeling the reefs out front in the mornings! We waited a few days before snorkeling there and wished we had gone every day. We saw lots of sea turtles and a wonderful variety of fish. We discovered that this is a popular spot for snorkel and kayak-snorkel tours that show up later in the morning. I was pleasantly surprised by the quiet and peaceful atmosphere at Makena Surf. We didn't hear noise from any other condo and the pool was never crowded. The condo itself is just as lovely as the pictures show. The grounds are gorgeously landscaped and meticulously maintained. Oh - and the best surprise for me was that housekeeping came every day to make beds, take out the trash, and replace towels. What a treat! My only very minor complaint is that the wifi signal didn't reach the bedrooms. But everything else was wonderful! I am already looking forward to when we can go back to Maui and stay at Makena Surf #F208 again.
