Hotel was like no one at reception but one guy everytime just one WhatsApp text away. They are very friendly and provide any service instantly. Rooms were spacious. And it was like you are living in your home not in hotel. Only issue was there are stairs to reach the hotel not direct on road so you have to walk few meters and get a car or taxi. It’s near very good locations like

Dingy and overpriced

Don't trust the pictures. This place is dingy and sad. Perhaps in a past life it was lovely but it's been neglected. The terrace is peaceful and I was fortunate to have it all to myself; however, the generator next door was loud. This was way overpriced for what it was. I'm not sure I woud have been happy with it for half the price.

Amazing helpful staff thanks Mustafa and Valkin. Room was a good size, clean with a wardrobe. A pleasant room next to the patio. Excellent part of Istanbul with plenty of street life with cafes, restaurants and shops everywhere in all the side streets. An easy walk to Tram 1 to get to ferries. Also a short walk to the main shopping area of Istiklal up to Taskim Square. It’s a party area with bars and live music so can be loud. Otherwise a great stay. Loved my time in the French Quarter.

Stayed in one of the terrace rooms and it was great! Comfy bed and really clean. A/C worked great and cooled the room down nicely at night. I did one of the organized pub crawls and it was very safe and convenient getting home at night. Mustafa the property manager was a great host and was really accommodating. Told me a lot about the area and what to do as he’s from the area. Would 100% stay again.

Absolutely Horrible – Stay Away from The Loft Istanbul! I rarely write reviews, but this place was so bad I feel obligated to warn others. We booked The Loft Istanbul for 4 nights, but the moment we arrived, we realized we made a huge mistake. We couldn’t even stay for a few hours – that’s how awful it was. The hotel is NOTHING like the pictures. It felt unsafe and run-down, like a forgotten basement hostel pretending to be a boutique hotel. The rooms were dirty, the air was musty, and everything just screamed neglect. It was genuinely scary. Not even exaggerating – the atmosphere felt eerie and uncomfortable, and we didn’t feel safe leaving our belongings there, let alone sleeping there. We decided to leave immediately and politely requested a refund, explaining how unacceptable the conditions were. But no – they flat out refused. No refund, no accountability, no apologies. It was a complete scam. Avoid at all costs. Don’t ruin your trip like we did. There are SO many better places to stay in Istanbul. This is not one of them.

Wonderful location. The hotel is located in a nice and safe area, and in walking distance to Taksim square and Galata Tower. Room is very nice. Volkan assisted me with the checkin. Volkan was extremely friendly and extremely helpful and flexible with an early check in and a later check out which I really appreciated.

We stayed in the Deluxe Suite with a Balcony. The rooms have a great vibe and are spacious in general. It’s a 10 min walk to tophane station and walkable to galata tower. It’s located on a walk up street with a restaurant next to it. The restaurant has a live singer every night which we could hear from our room but we didn’t mind it all and quite enjoyed it. Overall recommend staying here if you’re ever in Istanbul!

Cheap, stay away

We were trying to save a few bucks when we booked this hotel. Istambul was our final city of our 18 days Italy's trip, flying Turkish. Accomodation isn't 3☆ hotel for sure, the surrounding isn't maintained, 3 flight of stairs leading to the entrance was full with garbage bags. We were assigned a room that attached to the main building, separated. Tiny flying insects in the room. Main entrance always locked during our 5 days stay, only seen 1 other guest/s who must made the same mistake as we did. They need major renovation to stay in business. Location is good, for a few more $$$, you should be able to get much much decent accomodation or hotels close by. Picture on website taken 9nyears ago? Stay away or it will ruined your vacation.

It was great. I would absolutely stay again. It was clean, and organized. So cute. The size of the room was great. I had an issue with the shower, they changed the shower hose right away. The street it was located was beautiful and so close to cafes, stores.

Good hotel, close to major attractions

We were looking for a neighborhood that is close to attractions but with a not-so-touristy vibe. We found it here. It’s a good hotel. Accommodations: The room was big and featured a king-sized bed. The bathroom was reasonably sized, recently renovated and featured plenty of hot water. Attentive: The hotel has a reception area but no front desk per se. There is an intercom at the front door and a WhatsApp number. It worked out. You have the option of daily housekeeping, which we used and found to be quite good. The staff we dealt with were friendly and spoke good English. Noise: Our first night was in room 06, which is very cute. Because there are restaurants and bars nearby, the noise level was too much for us. We moved to room 02 -- and it was much, much better. Consult the hotel before you go. Important: The hotel is at the end of an alley and inaccessible by car. There are many stairs to get to the hotel's entrance; once inside, there is no elevator. Location: Loved the location. Plenty of coffee shops, bars and restaurants are within walking distance. The main pedestrian street of Istiklal is about an 8-minute walk. Taxis: Gave the drivers with the hotel address & arrived without a problem, including the airport.
The walkway down to the hotel. We went for drinks at one of the spots. Live music. It’s a nice space, though stairs are a challenge with luggage.

The hotel's spot-on! Perfect for folks who like walking to nearby hotspots. And if you're rolling solo, no worries about safety. The place is near by Galatasaray High School, with cops around to keep things in check. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy.

paid a premium for deluxe suite with balcony. non existent staff, no warmth/hospitality. No intro to space, front door was locked when we arrived and we had to text a what’s app number taped to door. Man came down and took us to the room but said no words, handed us 3 keys and didn’t explain you needed a key to lock inside room, outside room, and hotel door. We buzzed and waited each time to be let in until we figured this out. Dusty deserted front desk entire stay, no amenities they mentioned, our room had a putrid stench of urine and we discovered a puddle of urine in the bathroom floor. It was like camping, we did not shower or get ready in the room and used the restroom outside instead. We had to what’s app them to clean it and we checked in at 1pm they said they’d clean it at 11pm. We spent 0 time in the room because of this and when we were tired and checked in on whether cleaning happened or not they asked what room number and still hadn’t cleaned it. We had an early flight next morning and booked this specifically just to finally have a good night of rest and needless to say we didn’t. The area nearby is convenient but the specific alley it is in isn’t, stairs both ways to lug luggage, end of alley garbage smell, and loud live bad music at touristy bars next door. Regret splurging and getting a hotel for our last night to end the trip memorably, we had been staying with friends for a week and wanted to have a lovely night alone and had a nightmare experience instead
