This place was an absolute gem! Comfortable beds, lots of room, pool was a nice size, everything in the house was very convenient. We will be back, Ariel and Larry were exceptional hosts, made us feel very welcome. This is a definite return!!!

We’ve stayed at several homes on the Al island and this was our favorite location. House was better than expected and pool was amazing. Ariel and Ixchel were extremely responsive.

Bring Your Sound Machines & Close Toed Keens

Pros: 1) This home had plenty of space to operate with our family of four. Spacious for sure.2) The layout is great to allow for privacy, although our bedroom door didn't have a lock. 3) The back yard and pool are delightful. Wonderful, complete privacy there. Cons: 1) Location: light sleepers beware. This house is RIGHT on a busy road. You'll hear traffic all night, especially because it is adjacent to a gas station and the taxi drivers like honking at the gas station attendants. Bring your sound machines!2) Location: The first thing we were told by the host/greeter about the "beach just across the street" is that it would be very dangerous to go in the water more than a few feet because it's all sharp rocks. And so it was. So bring your hiking keens and a good first-aid kit. Or don't go there at all (which is what we did). 3) More about the beach location. The only way to even view the ocean from this property is to ascend the third story stairs to an empty roof top. There is no ocean view from even the second story balcony. We didn't feel that the property was accurately represented by some of the pictures and descriptions in the listing. 4) Missing conveniences: no washer/dryer or dish washer. The kitchen layout is awkward. which matters because if you are doing dishes, then you gotta be in there with others. There is not a Keurig. So don't bring those K-cups like we did! It's a Nespresso . . . and it didn't work.

Perfect Vacation!

We decided the day before to travel to Isla Majeures. I search for a VRBO with a private pool and at least 2 rooms and got very few to choose from. Shanti Del Mar came up and I read the description and it sounded like a perfect fit. We booked! I have to say, not only was it a perfect fit, everything about our little vacation was perfect! The home was spacious, newly renovated, perfectly clean, and had everything we hoped for. The pool was where we stayed the most. I was able to cool off and enjoy the swim as well as do some work while sitting at the patio table. We had a slight blip of internet because a large palm frond fell on the cable but the owner and house concierge took care of it immediately and were very responsive. The cleaning service came in midway and tidied up the place which was very nice! The home was in a perfect location, private, nice views, and I felt safe with myself and my adult daughter. Thank you Larry for being so responsive to anything we needed! We truly loved our vacation and cannot wait to come back! We booked a tour with Cultura Food Tours. That was a lot of fun and the food was sooooo good. Booked our shuttle/ferry ride with Happyshuttlecancun.com and it was very comfortable. Ppe's golf carts were very helpful in getting the cart delivered to the house and taking me to the ferry when we were done.

Amazing Vacation

This was our 4th time to Isla Mujeres and we’ve always stayed in hotels. Never again! Shanti Del Mar is perfect! Ariel, the hostess was AMAZING!!! Waiting for us on our arrival, she had homemade guacamole and chips, a pitcher of margaritas, and fresh squeezed orange for the kids. The house and location is perfect! Can’t wait to book our next vacation at this hidden gem!

Isla family vacation 2023

Shanti Del Mar is the most amazing Casa ! my family and I have been renting Casa’s on Isla Mujeres for several years now and this is the best one yet. we had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation and then some. LARRY, Jennifer and Santiago were all very quick to respond with any questions or concerns we had and even provided us with an amazing chef to cook at the Casa one night of our stay, couldn’t ask for more! Thank you so much for making our vacation one that we will not soon forget!!!!

Unforgettable Stay!

The home was ALL that was listed plus! We were greeted with Great margaritas by Jennifer and Santiago upon arrival. They gave us a tour of the home and the vacation began! We had a couple questions the following day which Jennifer answered quickly. The home is beautiful, comfortable, clean and in a very good location. The roof top patio gave an incredible sunrise every morning! The Island has so much to offer and the locals were incredibly friendly. Best Vacation Ever, We will Definitely be returning to Shanti Del Mar! Thank You Larry, Santiago & Jennifer!!

Week with friends

What can I say, my wife and I first started coming to Isla Mujeres twenty five years ago when we started dating. We’ve been back many times since then, and we’ve always stayed on Playa Norte. This time, we decided to rent a house mid island for our trip with two other couples. Shanti Del Mar was perfect. Comfortable, luxurious, and well located, this villa was better than expected. The view from the rooftop was stunning. Our proximity to restaurants was great, but we also were able to cook wonderful meals in the kitchen and enjoy the outdoor dining by the private pool. Isla Mujeres is one of my favorite places in the world, and Shanti Del Mar was the perfect place to enjoy our week. Thank you to Jennifer and Yafo for your attentiveness and support.

Outstanding

We stayed here two weeks, the property was absolutely perfect and so were Jennifer and Santiago. They stayed in touch the entire time and helped us with everything that we needed. Santiago even helped us arrange a water taxi early in the morning before the fairies started to run so that we could make it back to the airport to catch our flight on time. Santiago was more than willing to fix any issue that we had almost immediately, which were very few. The property is in great shape and is in a great location. We will definitely be staying here in the future. Thank you
