Corner King High Floor

The staff at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Houston is amazing. I happened to be staying while there was an event both in town, and at the hotel, however, it never felt cluttered or cramped(aside from when standing in line for some bagels at Einstein's, which I recommend). Other than that, the room itself was a bit dated, but it did provide quite a bit of space. I stayed in a Corner King room with a city view, and I was not disappointed with the view. My room did have one medium sized stain on one of the sheets, which while isn't great, there was only one. The valet service was exceptional, and I'd stay there again. 8.23/10

Thoroughly Impressed

My family and I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Houston for the first time and we were thoroughly impressed with all the amenities. The valet service was exceptionally quick in retrieving our vehicle. The hotel itself was stunning, and we were very pleased with our overall experience. We will definitely choose to stay there again for future trips to Houston.

The rooms were good. And the hotel location is good in that it is in downtown. However, the hotel had very few restaurants and other amenities. The area surrounding the hotel had almost no restaurants, no shopping, and no pharmacies.

Nice but AC needs work

Overall an older but nice hotel. AC was definitely not working well. Front desk staff wasn’t overly friendly or welcoming at check in, but housekeeping was fantastic.

The rooms are very outdated. The shower was clogged and water would not drain and then a bunch of hair came out it was gross. I was only staying for one day but when I’m back in houston I won’t be staying there. The rooms need a serious makeover.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything was amazing, including dining options, our room was spacious and very comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the valet parking was over-priced. I was erroneously charged 2X for one of the parking days. Thank Goodness that I caught that. I would stay here again, but I'll investigate other self-parking options.
