Captain’s Cabana is such a cute place! My kids (ages 9, 11, and 12) and I had a blast exploring the large amount of DVDs and games in the room. We especially liked the sand and pool toys available for us to use! The complex itself was easy to navigate and check into. We also loved how most places were within walking distance. My family and I will definitely consider staying here again during our next trip to Galveston!

One pool was very cold but the other one was nice .staff at counter wasn’t always well informed . Walked to three different buildings to get my laundry done only to find out that the washer in my building was actually working . Otherwise property is nice and our ci do was beautiful . Location was perfect within walking distance to Walmart .

The balcony seating was comfortable and offered beautiful sunrise views over the ocean while overlooking one of the pools. Truly the best of both worlds! Every little detail in the decor was so charming and the hosts were wonderful to work with!!

We enjoyed our stay in this condo. It was clean, and very close to the beach. There were plenty of towels and dishes. Check in was easy. There was one heated pool and one regular. There was a hot tub just for adults. Walmart is right next door so that was convenient. We were able to sleep 3 adults and 3 kids because of the double futons. The only feature we found challenging was there was no full size refrigerator so it was hard to keep groceries for breakfast and lunch or even leftovers because the fridge was tiny. Otherwise we really enjoyed the stay!

Great stay!

This property was great! Right by the beach, short walk across the street! Perfect location! Kids had a blast in the pool and playing tennis!

Great view and great location for the beach. Only hassle is the checkin process where you have to pay additional fees to park. They are up front about this, but still a hassle. Overall a great experience.

We loved this condo. Perfect view, very close to the parking area so not a far walk at all. Even walking out the front door the view of the relaxing area of the hotel. While sitting on the balcony you had a view of the ocean and the pool We will most certainly be staying in the room more often when we come down. Even the decor was so cute and comfy. The thing I love the most with this is they also had beach things you could use, even a wagon. They had games inside to entertain yourself as well. We all around loved this stay and will be back! Thank you !

Came to Galveston with the family and ended up staying an extra night we had so much fun and enjoyed the escape. We’re a family of six, with four children from 7-16. And this location was exactly what I had hoped it would be. All the kids had a bed of their own. They spent hours in the heated pool and took many trips across the street to put our toes in the sand. There were games provided in the unit, beach toys and dvds. Overall we’ve had a great stay and look forward to visiting again. Our only complaints were that the property manager was a little hard to get ahold of, the tv in the bedroom doesn’t work, there are plugs hanging out of the wall in the bedroom and the kitchen drawers are a little janky. Nothing we couldn’t over look, but just for reference. Highly recommend!

Amazing stay

Spring break with the teen granddaughters

Condo had everything we needed. Was clean and stocked appropriately. Nice bit of beach "tools". Cutely decorated and beds were comfy. Great view from the balcony.

The location is excellent as it is close to the Ocean, Walmart, and restaurants nearby. The pool area looked clean. The view from the balcony was wonderful. The issue for me was the bathroom. I could not stay but I received a full refund. If there was a similar unit in the complex I will rent in the future for sure.

Nice little condo

This condo was very clean & cozy on the inside, however facility is in need of a facelift. Overall the unit was great for me & my daughter. I would suggest the owners replace the sliding glass door bc it’s quite old & you can hear everyone around the pool when inside the unit. The view was very nice.

No refund

Was told a refund would be sent to my card, waited about 5 days with no refund. Messaged them to get status, they said it would take 7-10 business days for refund. Waited till the 10th day with no refund and messaged them again. They then sent a copy of "refund policy" and stated "which refund do you think should be due as a result of this cancelation". I wanted info as to why they made me wait for a "refund" for 10 days to not issue one and they never communicated back. They ignored me after my response. I never booked with VRBO before, this was a first and I can say it will be the last after the way they handled this. Absolutely furious and disgusted by their service. I will be filing fraud through my bank

Nice place

Easy check in, quiet place, good space for my family (5yo, 3yo, infant). The pool is great for kids with the graded entry. Beach access right across the street with rentable chairs/umbrella option. The do have some great beech toys and a wagon type carrier to borrow, which was super helpful. There's only a mini fridge with freezer, so plan accordingly.

Great Place

We enjoyed our stay very much. Loved the view and very happy with the 2 couches in the living area. Along with the 4 chairs at the table we could all comfortably hang out and eat together. The members of my group said they would stay at this exact same place again. That's a first for this group. Really liked the toaster/ oven combo also . The only complaint I have is with the faculty itself. Because of the fence around the property with a code needed to open the gate getting all the stuff and the kids to the beach was hard. Also though I understand why we all hated wearing the pool armbands everywhere for the duration of our stay.

A Great Holiday Weekend Experience

From the reservation to our checkout on the last day, the experience was great. The instructions were clear, the accommodations clean and just as advertised. The staff was extremely helpful and the view was perfect. We highly recommend this place.
