We arrived promptly at 4PM, the check in time to find 3 foot of snow piled up all along the road, the entire parking area, drive way covered in snow and ice. We were in town to do some work for my niece so we had a few supplies on my van. My husband had to pick axe an area large enough for my van, we were then able to reverse in and leave my front tires almost in the street. Then we started making trips with our luggage, stuff for the kitchen etc across the snow and ice to the front door. Walked in, the sofa was disheveled, blanket and pillows just laying there, went upstairs, the bed was not made and there were no towels. I immediately reached out to the owner, he responded saying cleaners were on their way and the "driveway" would be cleared tonight. We left to go get some dinner. The cleaners did come while we were gone. Two people showed up in the dark with shovels to clear the driveway. After an hour and half of no real progress, my husband went out and asked them to clear any area by the street like he had done for my van. They were not told to clear a path to the front door. Our friends from DC decided not to come stay that night. We had to walk back and forth on snow and ice. The house itself is cute, much smaller than the photos, the spiral staircase is very skinny. We did not get to use the hot tub or game room as we could not walk down there because of the snow and ice. The kitchen is well stocked. Frige and oven were very clean.
