We stayed prior to the remodel, and liked it. Was disappointed in the updates. Room was musty. There was a metal bar sticking out from the side of the bed my friend hit her leg on. Some staff was pleasant and helpful, while others felt like we were bothering them. Pool was heated last time. Not this time. Location ia convenient to stores, restaurants and shops.

This was a nice hotel with a close proximity to the beach. Be sure to stay on the side with the balconies, sitting outside on a warm late night is everything. Beware, there was an unexpected $18/day charge to park your car. Anything that we needed the staff quickly ran upstairs to provide. They did a really good job for our recent getaway

There is no elevator. There are many steps. The two-room unit didn’t have a single table and had only one chair. Small insects were crawling on top of the air conditioner and around the sink. The water in the shower didn’t drain. Access to the ocean is far on foot—private hotels don’t allow passage through.

Royal Beach Palace is no longer... it is now called "The Garden". Location is good regarding grocery stores, pharmacies and eating options. The room we had was decent, with a coffee maker, fridge and safe. The thing that was annoying is that we were not notified by Expedia or by the hotel that both the lobby and eating area were under construction.
