Don't let a compact room scare you, the amenities are great and we liked the cold afternoon flavored waters in the lobby. The hotel was next to one of the restaurant hot spots in Florence. The staff was exceptionally friendly

I have stayed here several times and I always enjoy it. IT is now under new ownership since my last stay, but all staff very nice and accomodating. Parking situtation was difficult due to multiple construction sites around the hotel. I did not know the car would be off site, but they sent a valet to come and get it, so it worked out.

The location and the staff are exceptional!! While the interior of the property is a little dated, you can’t beat its location and the staff is the friendliest, most helpful team I’ve experienced in a very long time! I highly recommend Hotel Botticelli!

Perfect for Florence site seeing

Great location, close to all the places you want to see. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, managed to enjoy the little balcony on the second floor. Our friends that travelled with us were given room 100 on the ground floor that was very noisy from 4.30 in the morning, avoid this room.

Walking distance to Duomo

It was a nice stay, I expected a bit more for $300 a night. The room was very small. Location was great for walking to the Duomo and Basilica Santa Croce. We were cautioned by the front desk for walking around after dark though. The front desk did call Taxi’s for guests. Breakfast was very good, nice selection of food.

The Manager of the hotel was very nice and kind to leave a welcome letter and a champagne bottle. Angel was very kind to care for our luggage before to check in and Mohamed in the breakfast room really was the shining star. He did every thing to help us.

The hotel is in a quiet street but close to all we needed. We walked around most of the time. The staff are helpful, the lady who tuns the breakfast always greets you with a big smile, she is a gem. We would stay there again.

Disappointed

We had to cut our stay very short due to discovering bed bugs in our room the same evening we checked in. This was extremely disappointing and disrupted our trip entirely, especially since we were traveling with a baby and had to drive hours back to Rome the same night. The hotel itself feels quite old and in need of serious updates — from the furnishings to the overall condition of the rooms. The windows, in particular, are outdated and offer little sound insulation. If your room faces the main street, be prepared to hear everything from traffic to late-night noise. That said, I do want to commend the staff — they were exceptionally kind, understanding, and professional throughout the situation. They processed a refund immediately and assured us that the bed bug issue would be addressed promptly. Unfortunately, despite the good customer service, the condition of the property and the bed bug incident make it hard to recommend this hotel without significant improvements.

Our stay didn't live up to the good reviews. Our Superior Room looked nothing like the photos. The furniture was almost broken down, there were stains on the carpet and our shower wand broke and spewed water throughout the bathroom. It was warm when we arrived, the two a/c units couldn't cool the room. It's apparent that maintenance isn't a high priority. On the Plus side. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good, if you rise early, as some items didn't get replenished. The location is unbeatable, good dining options just outside the door.

I have stayed at the Botticelli for years now. At least once a year, sometimes 3 and for a week or two each time. The hotel has been taken over and it is corporate now. The beds are very soft, so it lent to a sore back. I would suggest they bring back the feel of when it was not owned by a big company and also have harder beds with the option of a soft pillow top. You can't do it the other way around and make a soft bed, harder. The staff is nice and the lobby is nice.
