I had a great experience staying in this apartment! The location was perfect - I was able to walk on both sides of the Arno River with such ease. Hector, my host contact was fabulous! When I needed something or unsure about something, I would WhatsApp Hector and he would get back to me immediately. He was kind and understanding! The apartment itself was quite interesting! Small doorways (but that didn't bother me since I'm only 4'11") and one-step different levels for bathroom and kitchen - but once you have it down, it's a no-brainer! I loved waking up and opening the living/dining room window and shutters - letting the light in and looking at the Ponte Vecchio bridge and the other side of the Arno River, while I have my espresso! At night, you can hear the people singing, laughing, carrying on, and for me, it just added more character. The bed was good, but the pillows did not work for me - I'm a tempur-pedic kind of sleeper. As for cleanliness, I think a bit more use of a vacuum on the carpets/area rugs, as well as a little more dusting, is needed but I didn't mind because I took care of the apartment as if it were my own. Overall, I LOVED the apartment - it's very Florentine in decorations and leaves one to ask "what was it like here in the 1300 to 1600s?"! But if you are in to having luxury suites or more modern settings, this would not be the place for you. But for me, I can't wait to book the apartment again in the very near future! Thank you to my Hosts!

Amazing location for sightseeing and very clean. The noise from the street was a little loud but it dies down quickly at 2300 or so. Bed was very hard so if you prefer a soft bed, maybe look into a hotel that has USAmericans in mind.

The apartment may have a compact kitchen and a low positioned shower head, but honestly, you don’t come to Florence to stay indoors and cook. What truly makes this place exceptional is its unbeatable location right on Ponte Vecchio. Opening the bedroom window to see people strolling across the bridge feels surreal, and the balcony offers a stunning, unforgettable view.You simply couldn’t ask for better access to the city’s main attractions, everything is just steps away. The decor is thoughtfully curated, with a charming antique style that adds to the authentic Florentine experience.That said, there were a few drawbacks. The apartment was quite cold during our stay, and the heating system either wasn’t working or hadn’t been activated. Visiting at the end of March, with nighttime temperatures between 3–7C, this made the space noticeably uncomfortable.Overall, while there are some inconveniences, the unique location and atmosphere still make this a memorable stay, just be prepared for a few comfort trade-offs.

The room was in the perfect location, right on the river. My wife and I would pick up dinner and wine, sit at the table with the terrace doors open and enjoying the river view, overlooking the city. It is decorated the way you would want while in Florence. My wife described it as an Italian Grandma’s home. My only negative, which is not going to affect most people is the place is not made for tall people, I hit my head a few times going through the doorways.

Great location, cool shabby chic vintage style. Like others have said, bedding and towels clean but the apartment could use dusting, cleaning carpet/rugs and furniture. Bathroom needs reshreshing, no longer looks like pictures. Soiled shower curtain, peeling wall paper, and mold around the tub. This place could be awesome with consistent cleaning and maintenance.

Positives: The room was in a great part of town. Walkable to bus stop and many dining options. That was all that was good here. Negatives: The host was rude and unprofessional. The apartment was filthy and unsanitary like it had not been cleaned properly. The TV did not work, some of the radiant heaters were not functioning. And the appliances in the kicken like water kettle and cutting boards were old and dirty. Long detailed explanation of my experience below: I reached out to the host on my day of arrival and arranged a meeting time. They specified that they could not meet me until after 7:30pm since they were checking in other guests. When I met with the host at the residence at 8:00pm she mentioned that I needed to pay a 30 euro late check in fee. I asked what was considered late and she said anytime after 7:00pm. She would not give me the keys until I paid the fee and she demanded that I pay the late check in fee and city+local tax in cash. Due to the hostile attitude I paid the fees in cash to secure the keys. When I checked the residence I found several issues such as unsanitary conditions (dirty contacts on a nightstand) so I messaged the host. She send they would send cleaners the following day. She was rude and sarcastic through messages and never followed up on any of her promises. Beware of this host, they are untrustworthy and don't respect paying tenants. Think twice before reserving and booking this residence. There are much better options in the area.

The location of this property is breathtaking. One really feels like part of old medieval Florence here. The grocery steps from the front door is a massive plus. A five minute walk to the Uffizi! Would absolutely stay here again.

Great location!

A little rustic but well equipped and great location. We were there in a heat wave and there was a small ac unit in the living room but not in the bedroom. However there was a sizable fan that worked great and kept us cool at night. 5 min walk to Uffizi and Pitti Palace and within 10-15 mins walk to other must sees

We stayed for two nights at this apartment.

The Good: Location, location, location! The apartment is very well situated in Florence—within walking distance of most major attractions. Check-in was smooth and easy. While the bedroom was a bit noisy, that’s to be expected when staying on a bridge and in such a central area.The Bad: The apartment is quite old and feels dusty. While the sheets, towels, and bathroom were clean, the rest of the space could use a deep cleaning. The carpeting throughout is very worn and, in some areas, appears to have mold or mildew.The Ugly: Unfortunately, we encountered bugs—either fleas or bedbugs—in the bedroom. After waking up with bites, we opted to sleep on the couch the second night.

A part of history

This was nowhere near a run of the mill location. It felt more like living history and was the immersion into the area I know we would never have found anywhere else. The lower mark for checking in was mainly the challenges of cell service, but we made it. We've been gushing about the experience and how it added to our overall stay since our return.

Rustic but lovely stay.

This is a very old apartment on the non tourist side of the Ponte Vecchio, so we were not expecting 5 star hotel accommodations and for the most part loved our stay. The location was fantastic and the bed was comfortable. However, we only received 2 towels (for 2 people) for a week long stay and there were no toiletries available. We had to run out to buy toilet paper, soap and shampoo. The apartment was clean but needs a really good deep clean, there was a lot of dust on all the decor and fans. We were also eaten alive by mosquitoes, which I won’t hold against the hosts, but I recommend that you bring bug spray and after bite if you choose to stay here!

Probably the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. Actually on the Ponte Vecchio, the beautiful property is atmosperic and superbly decorated to match the age of the building. I wish I could live there forever

It's Italy

Terrific location. The bedroom is not airconditioned. The living room has a floor unit that cools a little bit. The shower/tub is small and dangerous. Nothing to hang onto and have to bend over and step down into tub/shower. Needs a seat and handrail. Wonderful place, bathing arrangements easy to fix, have to be fixed. Very misleading to say it's air conditioned. Really enjoyed! Honest description would have been helpful
