"Beautiful Riad centrally-located in medina Our rate included breakfast. Pros: -Helpful staff. We also spoke to the owner several times during our stay, he was always very welcoming. -Clean premises. -Beautiful internal architecture with stone and wood carvings & paintings and furnishings in covered courtyard and adjacent decorated ground floor rooms. -Check-in: cup of refreshing mint tea on arrival. The courtyard is quiet compared with the hustle & bustle of the medina. -Free WiFi throughout hotel. Log on details provided on check-in. -One small lift to all floors. We tended to use the stairs. Our cases were delivered to the room. -Room Jawhara (Suite, Floor 2) - key entry. Hanging space and shelves. Duvets. Free safe (ask Reception desk for key). Suitcase stand. Small wall-mounted Goldvision TV (HDMI port accessible). 2 small wooden chairs & small wooden table. 1 wooden upright chair. Wooden dresser with mirror. Fridge. Wall-integrated cooler/heater. Two single beds (firm mattresses) with bedside tables & lamps. 2 small rugs. Window with twin wooden shutters - views of a street below. Opposite side of room has 3 windows (each with twin wooden shutters) with view of riad’s internal courtyard. En-suite bathroom with walk-in shower & washbasin (water can run very hot), toilet, hairdryer. Tiled floor. -Room - no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities, but hot water and tea/coffee & cups available on request."

"I spent three nights in this hotel, which was first built in the 14th century (I was told). I appreciate the room upgrade they offered. The upgraded room (a suite) is located on the 1st floor. It is a huge, very clean room with a flight of stairs inside. Both the dressing room and the bathroom/toilet can only be reached via the stairs. The problems are that the stairs were based on the original structure built in the 14th century, meaning the height of each step is not even. And, my wife has bad knees, and she struggled mightily going up and down each time she needed to use the loo. Sadly, they were fully booked, and we couldn't switch back to a regular room. I appreciate the staff for upgrading us to this suite. However, be mindful of it if you, too, have knee or mobility issues. The only other issue I have is the lack of power sockets in the room. I searched high and low. There was only a single socket in the entire room. So please bring an extension cord or something. Otherwise, the interior of the entire hotel is great, clean and grand-looking."

"This was a fabulous hotel and the service was excellent! The staff were very attentive and offered us complimentary mint tea and cookies after our Medina adventures each day. Breakfast was different each day and my husband loved the tomato jam. They serve breakfast in the courtyard during winter/spring time when it’s too cold but they also serve breakfast on the rooftop in the summer I believe. The architecture of this place was amazing. Shout out to Otmane for being extra attentive at the front desk. I appreciated that they gave us new bottled water each day as many hotels do not do that. It was amazing to hear the call to prayer from the rooftop (which has an amazing view of the Medina by the way). We would definitely stay here again. Things that could be improved include: dim lighting in rooms, TV was all in German for some reason, sometimes the outside door took a while to open (they don’t give you a key to the riad main entrance), and the windows didn’t shut very well so you could hear the street noise a bit."

"The staff here are wonderful. They helped us arrange anything we needed in terms of food and rides. They also gave us room upgrades for every member of our party which was a nice suprise. The only downside was one of the bottom floor rooms had live roaches. "
