The place has a cockroach infestation. I saw one under the bed and another big one crawling on the curtains. It really scared me, The sheets didn’t smell clean, the access is terrible, I will never come back.

The staff were helpful and the hotel was clean. The rooms are very dated though and heavily worn. My bedroom smelt of cigarettes on arrival and my colleagues said their rooms smelt bad too. A fine hotel for passing through perhaps but I wouldn’t rush back.

Toulon has some wonderful bakeries open for breakfast, and they aren’t far of a walk from the hotel. I selected the hotel for its location which turned out to be great! The train station and port were short walks away. The staff were welcoming and friendly and spoke English well. I don’t think my room had air conditioning as I tried to get that working on the wall unit but could not. It didn’t matter as I didn’t need it anyway. I was there in early April with very pleasant temperatures. My window also opened to allow a fresh breeze to blow in. Overall I liked the hotel and would book there again! C’est tres bien! "
