Eureka!!

We drove from Florence, Oregon to Eureka, CA. We were greeted at the front desk with a smile and a request for ID and credit card. We were given the keys to the room and directed to where to park. Upon entering our room we noticed that the room was clean as was the bathroom. We were pleased with the condition of the property and the room.

This place was amazing. We stayed 3 nights, each day was booked in that day. So we stayed in three different rooms. One room we didn't know how to operate air conditioner and when I notified they came right then. On our last day we called after we had town looking for our pair of prescription sun glasses and the checked the room immediately and called us back. Thank you

Clean, comfortable, and centrally located

Room was clean, staff was really friendly, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great and helpful to be able to get our day started without having to go out and find a spot to eat every morning. Would stay there again. Great location for visiting Humboldt State.

Very nice staff. Hotel is a bit run-down. I was glad to only be staying for one night. People upstairs must have been doing gymnastics for an hour or more and we could hear every sound through the ceiling.

Disappointed

After seeing all of the perfect 10 reviews, I was very disappointed when I opened the door to my room: Chipped paint, obvious water damage in the bathroom and empty clips and patched holes on the door where apparently a mirror had been. The bed was comfortable, though. Breakfast was pretty sad, with few choices.

The Clarion is a well managed property with nice clean beds and bathrooms. The only thing I did not like was a cannabis shop across the street. It just made me feel unsafe.
