I booked 2 rooms one for me one for my daughter. Ours was fine. Hers, not so good. A/c not working and it was 32c out, 26 in room. As hotel was full could not move. Staff did try to be helpful by giving a fan but still uncomfortable.

The hotel had a very pleasant welcoming atmosphere an d the service in all aspects was excellent. The rooms were clean and the necessities such as towels and supplies were all good. The room was serviced for our second day which was appreciated with all clean bath necessities and the beds were made.

My daughter left her stuffed animal in the room in the bed. I called the same day I checked out to ask if they could check for the stuffed animal. I was told they would call me back. I proceeded to call 2 more times the following day and got the same response. We then went to the hotel early morning the following day before heading to the airport to leave the province. They were not helpful, it didn’t seem like they even knew what I was talking about even though I had called 3x in the past 2 days. I asked that they call the company where they send linens for laundry. They called and said the company said they didn’t have it. I knew that there was no other place it could be. I asked for the number of the linen Landry company. When I called they said they had it in their lost and found. If Metterra has just checked the linens the first day I called, which was only a few hours after I checked out, this would have all been avoided

Love this hotel!

Love this hotel! Great location, great service, excellent breakfast. Rooms are comfortable, renovated and well maintained. We stay here every time we visit our kids at U of A. Love the valet parking as it’s hard to find parking yourself on Whyte. Make sure you allow staff time to get your car as they have to navigate traffic on Whyte - book pick up time ahead.

Lovely property, exceptionally kind staff, and location is right on Whyte ave, so great dining and shopping. However, location is right on Whyte Ave, so it’s not great if you are a light sleeper. While the hotel itself was very quiet, the street noise from the thumping dance clubs across the street, revellers, and sirens were ALOT. It was good of them to provide earplugs.
