Motel 6 Duluth, MN
"This place is old, it looks old, it feels old and it smells old. First room I had was an old smoking room, it was stale, musty, and smelled like an old damp ashtray. Scott, the desk clerk was kind enough to give me a different room that was better, but not a whole lot. The bathroom was clean but ..."

Lift Bridge Lodge, an Ascend Collection Hotel
"Stayed here over Labor Day weekend and while it was a busy weekend, it never felt overcrowded. Property is well-maintained, rooms are clean and quiet. Stayed on the first floor and rarely heard anyone outside our room. We had a balcony with a lake view and it was absolutely worth it (even with kids who don't really appreciate it but I did). Nice to sit outside and people watch while taking in the lake. Breakfast was good with lots of options for me and my kids. Hot coffee and hot water were always available in the lobby. My girls loved swimming in the pool and the two hot tubs. Pool towels were plentiful and refreshed frequently. I also appreciated being able to request more room towels easily. They were dropped off outside our room while we were out. The Canal Park location is perfect. Easy to walk anywhere and plenty of parking in their lot. Would absolutely stay here again."
