About this property

Whole retreat, yours alone, sleeps 27

Summary:

WHERE THE LUCKY RETREAT!

Dripping Springs, TX | 11 acres | Sleeps 27

25% off this summer, the price you see is the price.

Split among friends, a weekend runs about $139 a person for two nights.

The Space:

La Fortuna is 11 private acres in the Hill Country, 40 minutes from Austin, where your people gather and time actually stops. Built for the milestone birthday, the family reunion, the bachelorette weekend, or whatever's bringing everyone together this summer. Book the retreat and you get the whole property, La Casa, El Corazon, the tipis, the stargazer tents, the pool, the fire pits, the bathhouse, and El Mirador with its outdoor kitchen, grill, and bar. No other guests, no shared spaces with strangers, just your people and the run of the place.

WHERE EVERYONE SLEEPS:

27 guests across 10 dwellings, all on the same property-

La Casa guesthouse: 1 king, 1 queen + 2 twins (air-conditioned)

El Corazon A-frame cabin: 1 king + full in loft (air-conditioned)

Tipi El Arbol: 1 king bed + couch (portable AC)

Tipi El Nopal: 1 queen bed + 1 twin bed (portable AC)

Tipi El Venado: 1 queen bed + couch (portable AC)

Tipi La Estrella: 1 queen bed + couch (portable AC)

Tipi La Rosa: 1 king bed + couch (portable AC)

Stargazer El Apache: 1 queen bed (portable AC)

Stargazer El Mundo: 1 king bed (portable AC

Stargazer El Sol: 1 queen bed, 1 twin bed + couch (portable AC)

"My two kids loved the trip & slept amazingly well in the tipi." — Gator, La Fortuna

Just a heads up! Our base price covers the first 16 guests. If you're bringing a few more friends along, there is a small fee of $30 per extra guest, per night. Please make sure to enter your exact guest count when you book so we can have plenty of towels, linens, and coffee ready for everyone!

COOLING & COMFORT:

The tipi's are open-air canvas structures, so portable AC keeps them comfortable once the heat breaks, though it can't fully compete with peak summer afternoon heat. La Casa and El Corazon run full air conditioning all day, so there's always somewhere cool to land if you want it guaranteed.

"Beautiful spot! It's our first time glamping and it delivered." — Lyra, La Fortuna

WHERE EVERYONE GATHERS:

All of it is just for your group, a 27-foot pool, hammocks scattered across the property, private fire pits at several of the dwellings, and a bathhouse with four toilets, two soaking tubs, and two walk-in showers. El Mirador is the heart of it, an outdoor kitchen, grill, deck, lounge, and bar built for cooking together and staying out past dark.

AFTER SUNDOWN:

No cell signal, which most families end up loving, and skies dark enough to catch a meteor shower if you time it right.

"What a great time and a great place!!... sat out under the stars for a meteor shower!!! Can't wait to come back!!" — Debbie, La Fortuna

WHAT'S INCLUDED THIS SUMMER:

- Firewood stacked at both communal fire pits

- A s'mores kit for the kids (adults too 😉)

- Floats and pool toys out by the water

ELEVATE THE GATHERING:

- Pre-stocked fridge and pantry so no one's running to town

- Outdoor movie night under the stars, the kind you'll still be talking about in September

- Private chef dinner at El Mirador, the whole group gathered around one table under dark skies

- A custom welcome for the birthday, reunion, or celebration, the kind of detail that makes people feel truly seen

"Our stay was absolutely breathtaking... perfect for gatherings with family and friends." — Regina, La Fortuna

Guest Access:

You will have access to the entire place for you and your group.

The Neighborhood:

You're right in the heart of Hill Country wine, beer, and spirits country — a stretch locals love for its rolling views, tasting rooms, and laid-back vibe. This area has become a true destination for day-trippers and travelers looking for that perfect blend of Texas charm and craft culture.

🍺 Breweries & Distilleries: You’re surrounded by some of the best in Texas — Jester King Brewery (famous for farmhouse ales and pizza), Last Stand Brewing, Beerburg Brewing, and Treaty Oak Distilling (craft cocktails, whiskey, live music, and BBQ).

🍇 Wineries: Fitzhugh Road is dotted with vineyards and tasting rooms like Hawk’s Shadow, Bell Springs Winery, and Graveyard Vineyards — perfect for sipping and soaking in the Hill Country views.

🥘 Eats Nearby: Enjoy farm-to-table meals at The Switch BBQ & Craft House, casual bites at Abby Jane Bakeshop (next to Barton Springs Mill), or head into downtown Dripping Springs for spots like Oak Creek Café and Rolling in Thyme & Dough.

🌳 Outdoor Fun: Hamilton Pool Preserve and Reimers Ranch Park are both a short drive away for swimming, hiking, and cliffside views. The Hill Country’s best natural gems are right at your fingertips.

🎶 Local Flavor: Many of the breweries and distilleries host live music, weekend markets, and events — so there’s always something happening along Fitzhugh Road.

Getting Around:

Having a car is the most convenient option. However, if you plan to visit some of the wineries, breweries or distilleries Discover Texas Wine Tours, Dripping Springs Hill Country Limo & Taxi, Deer Run CS, Dripping Springs Limo Service, Texas Wine Tour Company.

The path into the property is unpaved and has a flattened caliche road so please keep this in mind when planning your transportation.

Other Things to Note:

- The final stretch in is an unpaved caliche road. An SUV helps and isn't required.

- The terrain is natural, with gravel paths rather than a manicured yard, so little ones need eyes on them.

- This is real Hill Country land, so expect the occasional insect or critter that comes with eleven acres of native terrain. We leave everything you need on hand to handle anything that pops up between visits.

- Tipis have an open center at the top, so during heavy rain a few drops may come through.

Canvas structures show natural wear over time, light dirt, minor staining, or small repairs are part of the glamping experience and not a sign of neglect.

- Wifi is satellite-based and works fine for light use, but don't plan on streaming or a work call.

- Up to two dogs are welcome, 60 pounds and under, with breed restrictions. A $25 fee per pet will be charged separately after booking. We ask that pets stay off the furniture, and an additional cleaning fee may apply if excessive pet hair is found.

- A separate reservation agreement will be sent to your email for digital signature before your stay. Happy to share it in advance if you'd like to review it first.

Interaction with Guests:

Self check-in and check-out, simple and straightforward. Everything you need arrives before you do. If anything comes up during your stay, our team is a text or Airbnb message away, any time of day or night.

It was extremely cold, so the first night, some of us had difficulty in the Tipis. The next night, our 17 year old son visited each couple's tent and showed them how to properly adjust the bed electric blanket and the heaters. Everyone had a great night two!!
