Thanksgiving stay

The property was very nice, very clean and spacious. Had a little trouble getting in as the battery was dying on the keypad. The contact person was a great help getting us in. Nice stay!

Clean and comfortable

The apartment was clean, updated, and comfortable. The host is very responsive and helpful. The neighborhood is generally quiet in comparison to other apartment complexes. Would stay here again if the need arises.

This place is very spacious. The pictures don’t do it justice. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was equipped with pots, pans, cups plates, cutlery, all the things! The appliances worked great. You can tell the host cares about your experience. We couldn’t figure out the lock at one point and I called them and they picked up right away to assist. The beds were so comfortable. This is my second trip to Michigan, if I ever go back I’d love to stay here again! 10/10 Experience hands down!

Perfect for an extended stay

Great little apartment for either a short or extended stay in the Rochester area. Everything needed for a no frills stay was there. Kitchen, laundry, wifi and smart tv. For a keen cook like myself, I did purchase some additional items in order to prepare meals, however the basics supplied were more than adequate for those not as adventurous in the kitchen as myself. The apartment was plenty spacious for just the two of us, but with the additional bedroom with two queen beds plus an en-suite, it could house an additional two comfortably, and four at a push. There was plenty of parking outside, with no assigned spaces which was great. We never had any issues getting a spot directly outside the apartment. We would definitely consider staying at the apartment again on a future trip to the area, and would highly recommend it to others.

great location

We lived in the area for many years and frequently come back for work. We decided to stay here instead of a hotel on this trip. The location was exactly what we expected knowing the area. It’s close to everything. The unit was clean but furniture was spartan. There is a large walk in closet in one room but for longer stays it could use a dresser. As another reviewer mentioned the kitchen has just the basics so if you really, really like to cook, you’ll need to verify with the host for what you need to bring but for us it was enough. The unit does have a lot of noise from nearby units in the evening but at quiet hours the entire area is very, very quiet. Internet was great and worked well for a remote office when needed. Check in was easy once we found the lockbox. Host communication was timely. We’d stay again vs a hotel again the next time we need to be back in the area.

Almost perfect

This is a nice place to stay with room to relax. There are a couple of things that could make it more comfortable though. It’s in a large apartment complex and the hallway noise is really noticeable. It woke me up at night. If the door to the unit closed securely and some rugs were added to the floor it would help. Perhaps some wall art, more furniture or other home accoutrements would help dampen the noise too. It’s pretty spartan inside. There are no hairdryers in the bathrooms or iron to use. Lighting is also meh. There are no overhead lights in the main living area or large bedroom and there is only 1 mini lamp in each of those spaces. It couldn’t hurt to put the silverware in a drawer organizer and add a few basic kitchen supplies like cooking oil, salt, and pepper. Part of the reason people choose VRBOs is the ability to make our own food. The host was responsive and seemed willing to make things right quickly, but overall this was the barest and most spartan VRBO I ever rented.

Newer apartment in older building

Clean remodeled apartment in a very large apartment complex about 10 minutes from downtown Rochester. Building had seen better days but the apartment itself and the complex pool were updated and nice. Property manager was quick to communicate with the but was never able to resolve the two issues we had during our one week stay. The first was that the AC wasn't working. Eventually fans were brought which was adequate because it was only in the high 70s/low 80s that week and we are from the south but still would have preferred AC. The second was getting a second building key so my husband and I wouldn't have to share when we went separate places. At one point more keys were brought but they did not work. But I appreciated that management was reachable and kind of tried to remedy the issues. The place was comfortable enough and did have all the basic things we needed stocked. Probably won't stay here again in the future however.

This was by far the worst experience I've had with VRBO and a property owner. Long story short. I tried communicating with the property owner multiple times along with Vrbo. Got to the property and we had no heat. Was not a big concern for owner. It was 40 degrees inside. Would not give me a refund or switch it to a different weekend. So no, this is not 5 star, just because you think the apartment is clean and in a good location doesn't mean the communication goes out the window. BUT they will send you 10 automated emails asking how your stay was and acting like they are there for you, but really, they are not. So if you decide to book here GOOD LUCK because if you even have 1 small issue, question or concerns, this is what you will get. Oh, but then your last 2 out of 10 autmotated emails you receive says they'd like you to review them, BUT only if you have 5 stars because if you don't to please contact them first before posting. Well, I did do that multiple, multiple, multiple times and that's why you got a 1 out of 5.

DO NOT DO IT - just don’t!

Ah where do I start?! First, communication is awful. They kept giving me the run around on the check in information- to the point I thought I was being scammed but day of came and we got it so was hopeful. Second, the building itself is just old. Hallways are dark and musty. But we got in the unit which wasn’t terrible- just very stark, Like bare minimum! Description made it seem way nicer. There was no key to the clubhouse as promised, the railing outside was basically falling off, and the chair seats were not connected to the legs were just some of the issues. But the worst part is the air conditioning wasn’t working. The thermostat said no power and the temp read in high 80s. We tried rebooting and restarting, nothing. So we contacted the host and they said they’d send maintenance within the hour. They didn’t come and when I said they hadn’t shown up I got ghosted. Property manager NEVER responded. They knew the air wasn’t working bc they had fans going in EVERY room - very suspect. So we had to leave obviously. My oldest son had his head in the fridge bc it was SO HOT. I contacted VRBO and they also gave me the run around bc this management company is a “partner” of theirs (still waiting for a refund). So 2 adults and 3 kids plus 2 dogs ended up in a one room hotel room and it was honestly more comfortable than that crappy apartment.
