Do not waste your money! Where do I begin. The room had a very strong stench of fabric softener and we were not near the hotel laundry. One of the beds had a mattress that was so old it had a sink hole from too mich use. The bathroom light did not stay on due to an electrical short. There was no fan in the bathroom so any shower made the room very humid. The AC unit is in need of cleaning and led to headaches and congestion while in the room. The hottub water was so dirty it was murky and not anything we dared to enter. Breakfast well, i hope you like crappy carbs and powdered or hard boiled eggs and no where to sit as the room is small and always crowded for stale crappy food. EWWW is our general take at this establishment and we will definitely not return. Oh, and the staff is not kind and welcoming but instead does not talk to guests. We have never felt so unwelcomed in an establishment.

The property doesn't have all of the conveniences of newer and more modern hotels (no workout room, no couch in the room, limited food options), but it is clean and quiet. They also had soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathroom. In addition, there were enough outlets available to charge all of our devices. In addition, the internet worked well. The breakfast on the first day was better than the second day, but both days were acceptable. Overall, we are happy with selecting this hotel for our stay. The neighborhood is old, it's not a modern spa area as I was expecting. We also could not find a parking spot in Manitou Springs, but the city does have a complimentary shuttle in the summer months. It's not completely convenient, but we did end up using it in combination with walking to save a few moments. As a side note, if you plan on riding the Cog to Pike's Peak, it's good to know that ice and snow storms do occur in the summer months as well as in the winter months!

The facility was very clean. We enjoyed the breakfast and the lady maintaining the food. The pool and spa were very well kept and wonderful for relaxing. However, the beds were the absolute worst I have ever slept on at any hotel. We woke up each morning with back pains and our son ended up with a crick in his neck. The hotel seems to have attempted to make the beds more comfortable using what looked like a duvet insert that didn’t even fit the mattress. Replacing the mattresses is a must for this hotel.
