People were quite friendly. The room was clean, nice and warm. The pool was a great opportunity to get some lap swimming in during my brief stay. It helped me sleep like a baby, despite having traveled 8 time zones and about 12 hrs to get there.

We managed to fit in several outings, including a number of beautiful beaches, Dogs Bay and Gurteen in Roundstone, and Moyrus Beach, which is just a short drive from the house. Great wee coffee shop in Roundstone too. We also visited Clifden Castle, and the kids loved spending their Christmas money in Clifden town. A walk around Ballynahinch Castle was another highlight, followed by a lovely dinner in Glynsk House, only a few minutes away from the house.John and Mairead are wonderful hosts — thoughtful and attentive without being intrusive. They checked in on us during our stay and even left a crate of turf for the log burners, which was a much-appreciated touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this house for a relaxing and memorable stay."
