Find a Hotel in Downtown Frederick

"The rental was nice and clean.While communication was good before we arrived, it all stopped there. The directions from VRBO went down the street about a half mile, and we had trouble finding the alley entrance. The contact owner phone number went to previous owner that graciously gave the number for "new owner" Michael. He never returned voicemail. We also left a message via VRBO, no reply. The lockbox code did not work for keys/side entry. We were able to come/go via front door automatic door lock; a little inconvenient. Stayed, checked out, back home, no communication. "

"Location was good, off highway and close to many restaurants. Room was smaller than it looked on the pictures Very small pillows but bed was ok Breakfast was good In general it was ok"

"Beautiful, old hotel with interesting history. Comfortable, quiet room, bed and pillows. Walk to everything downtown. The only issue we had was that our toilet was clogged and so we had a plumber in our room for about 45 minutes, soon after dinner. But service came soon after I called. Also they didn’t have our room ready until 4:30 pm - checkin is supposed to be at 4 which is late by normal standards already. Otherwise, great hotel! "

"We stayed for one night. Had not eaten and were to tired to go out. We ate at their bar and found it to be excellent. The food, people and drinks were very good. The bed was very comfortable."

"We stayed overnight on a Friday and there must have been a party in the area. Lots of noise in the hotel. The walls are very thin and the slamming doors did not help. The hotel itself is very nice."

"I would not stay there again. Upon pulling in the parking lot, the outside looked unkempt. The entry rugs were dirty and faded and there was something slopped on both of them. The young lady who checked us in was kind and friendly. Check in was fast and easy. The carpets in the halls are old and in need of replacement or cleaning. In the room, someone's coffee was splashed and dripping down the wall by the bed...and still there. There were many chips in the paint above the bed. The remote was filthy and the words on the keys were worn off so I had to guess which one was which. The worst part was the SEVERAL black stains on the sheets. The room was not dusty. Looking out the window, I could lots of litter and a dilapidated BBQ grill that are to the left of the main hotel entrance. The same area also had 3 rotting benches and another sitting area for guests. I'm sure not many would partake in this amenity.... The shampoo, conditioner and lotion were probably the cheapest they could buy, compared to other hotels. Breakfast was meager- not nearly as good as other hotels I've stayed at that were similar. The breakfast area was clean and the ladies were attentive to refilling the food. The owner of this particular hotel needs to invest some money into making it a place guests would want to return to again. Attached pictures aren't very good, but give the idea, showing dirty sheets, coffee splashed on the wall and the outside area looking out our room's window."
