Football visit

Stayed there to go to the Stade Roi Baudouin which is 20 minutes' walk away, as is the nearest Metro station. Close to the Expo and some museums. On the Flanders side of the border so signage in the area is generally in Flemish. Bus stop outside to get into town or direct to the airport. Limited menu but handy to be able to have food in mid-afternoon. Room is fine and had the unexpected bonus of a small balcony.

Fantastic stay. Really welcoming and helpful team working there and all fluent in English (my only language). Bar with 'snacks' available 24 hours was great, especially as the snacks where more like meals including Chicken Curry (delicious) and lasagne etc. The drain in my shower was very slow and did smell slightly if left for a while with the window closed and fan off, otherwise would have been full 5 stars. Everything else clean and well looked after. Would definitely use Ibis again.

We tour Belgium for a few days. We used Ibis on a couple of times This one near the Atomium was fine albeit a little 'older', a little more 'worn out as its counterpart.

Xmas Treat to self

Disappointed that there were No tea making facilities in the room unlike all the other Ibis hotels i have visited in the last 10 years. Not having a car meant a 20 minute walk each way to the shopping area to buy eats but on the plus side the room was very comfortable although the wooden panel floor was very cold and particularly noisy from the person upstairs who seemed to be moving furniture around for no reason. The reception staff were lovely and appreciated how cold it was outside and one evening provided me with a lovely hot cup of tea which was very much appreciated. Not so appreciative one late evening was someone trying to enter My room with their door card and actually had the cheek to knock on My door.
You dont have to drive far to get fuel...

Nice, but smelly

The staff was super nice and super helpful. But the hotel was dirty. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, their were cigarette burns in the furniture. It just felt old and dated.

Good value hotel, close to Atomium / Brussels Expo

Small but perfectly good value hotel situated a few minutes walk from the Atomium / Brussels Expo. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the quality of the breakfast, although ready prepared due to the buffet being closed for COVID safety, was good. Bed was comfortable and got a good night's rest, followed by a good shower in the morning. Heysel / Heizel Metro station to get to/from the centre of the city is about a 15 minute walk. Simply tap on the barrier with a contactless card to enter the platforms, the ticket machine is only for charging prepaid travel cards and displays conflicting information (there is a sticker on the floor by the entrance detailing the correct procedure without a pre-paid card but it's easy to miss and walk over as you head straight to the ticket machine)
