The room was in the back of the hotel and the window faced the wall of the walkway directly below, not facing the village or the bay. Was told by reception that I reserved a “village view” room, which I didn’t. Nowhere on the reservation did it ask me if I wanted a bay view or village view. Reception said there were no bay view rooms. For our 40th wedding anniversary this was our experience. At least we were able to see the Abbey. So, be careful when reserving and make sure you confirm your room’s location specifically. "
