For those wanderers who are chasing a place to base themselves right near the hustle and bustle of Bifroest, Travelocity's destinations page lists a few excellent places. Bifroest offers 2 short and long-stay options within easy driving distance of the town center.
The Hraunsnef Countryhotel is a great base for your stay as it is one of the best-positioned Travelocity-listed rooms, one of not many options within a comfortable stroll of the Bifroest city center.
The Hotel Bifrost can be found 1 mile (2 kilometers) outside the city center of Bifroest. An alternative accommodation option is the Fosshotel Reykholt, which is located about 10 miles (16 kilometers) away. Other hotel options include the Iceland Guesthouse - Hvítá and the Hótel Sól.
While you are in West Iceland, you can stop by the Kirkjufell Mountain and spend a while in Grundarfjordur, which is found 50 miles (84 kilometers) to the west of the heart of Bifroest. Choices include the The Old Post Office and Grundarfjördur Hostel.
