We had such a lovely stay here! The cottages are adorable, with great amenities. Definitely a step above other cottage hotels that we stayed in. And this property has the added benefit of a lovely little restaurant for dinners and a great hearty breakfast. (The dinners were Ala carte but the breakfast was included in our room rate). The owner and her staff were truly lovely and you could see the care that went into the property. A great option in this area!

We went for some down time and we were not disappointed. Beautiful room with view of Icelandic countryside; lovely restaurant with great food; pleasant, helpful staff. Not for those who want to be in the hub of things, but if you’re looking for a quiet getaway to be alone with your thoughts or your partner, this is the place :)

A great tiny cottage on a working farm. There are 6 cottages available each with a small private deck. We could go out at various hours to watch the northern lights without disturbing others. There is no TV but we had wifi and the amazing scenery to keep us occupied. The owner was helpful and breakfast great. Dinner is provided if requested in advance. Highly recommend. Cozy is the best word to describe it.

Perfect Christmas Stay at Dalahyttur

We had the pleasure of staying at Dalahyttur for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and it was an incredible experience. The room was lovely—warm, cozy, and beautifully presented, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Both breakfast and evening meals were delicious, well-portioned, and of excellent quality, leaving us fully satisfied.
