Booked the room on hotels.com there was one available and when I got there there weren’t any rooms available. I already paid for it and they couldn’t help me with a refund. I paid almost $200. Now I’m not sure what to do to get my money back. I had to go to another hotel and pay another $200

I visit Baton Rouge often and always stay at this hotel. The woman who works the front desk is extremely rude and her customer service is very horrible. Every time i come check in, it takes her forever to get up and come over to greet me while she’s also rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing. She’s continuously on the phone each time and barely even greets us. Her attitude makes us very uncomfortable as if we are not wanted. We did not receive housekeeping at all and we stayed 4 days. We needed new towels, so we asked the housekeeper on our floor and she said she did not have any which is fine. However when we went down to the front desk to ask the lady who i mentioned, her response was, “You got a housekeeper on your floor, ask them.” Which was completely uncalled for and rude. I get it was 4th of July weekend and it was packed and busy but for me to always come to this hotel every time i’m in town, I don’t appreciate being felt like I was a burden and I don’t appreciate being uncomfortable when I’m paying good money. She needs to take her attitude and rudeness elsewhere otherwise she will be the downfall of many visitors not wanting to stay here.

Come armed and already showered

We didn’t get the room we reserved, and the hotel had nothing else to give us. The entire hotel had no hot water and when we complained we were told it was because too many people just showered (it was 11pm), then at 6 am the the next morning there was still zero hot water. There was someone casing the parking lot and followed my husband and son to the car when they were grabbing our bags, until my husband showed he was armed and they drove off; he let the front desk know and the response was just “oh?” (But hey, it’s Baton Rouge I guess)
