The decor was very nice. The room was clean. The phone was disconnected to call the front desk. Both tv remotes did not work. We checked in for 4 people and didn't have sufficient shampoo nor bedding for the sofabed. We liked the partition but the chair mirror and table blocked the narrow walk way to the king-size bed.

The front desk staff was outstanding at check-in and with questions. The bar and food service attendant was not great. We sat while the service attendant continued with paperwork without even recognizing or asking if we needed assistance. Decided to eat off property.

My friend and I wanted to put the beds in our luggage and bring them home with us! Comfortable is an understatement. The location of the hotel was in a great area, assessable to the freeways and several restaurants. Our only issues were the staff treated clean towels like gold; it would take hours to get more, and sometimes we'd have to go to the front desk to get them. And, the grab and go breakfast was a NOPE. We understood due to COVID, hot food was unavailable. But cornflakes, a carton of milk, and a granola bar ... NOPE. A muffin and juice would have been nice. But, all in all, this was a good hotel and we plan to stay there for future Baton Rouge visits.

When I pulled up at 8:00pm to check in there where at least 30 men, 4 huge vehicle's, drinking of beer, gambling and making a ton of noise in the driveway where you pull up to check in and unload. I had to make a spot where I could try to just check-in so I basically had to drive onto the entrance but as a single woman I was extremely uncomfortable. When I expressed concern to the clerk she brushed me off and told me they would be gone for the night soon- she obviously was having a great time with them. She even let one of their party cut me in line to check in. Then nothimg on there website or Travelocity's exained they did not have room service and had closed the pool due covid. I booked this stay as a pamper weekend and live not far away..there is no massive covid breakout...these are excuses to charge Doubletree prices for a room tjat should cost $35 a night. This Doubletree is located on a street with 10 other hotels...all of the pools were open. We actually PAID to use another pool elsewhere at a hotel down the street. So sad I will never stay there again, and sadly I used to stay there a few times a week for work. The room seemed clean but toilet and shower were dirty. The room was nice and very clean. We had a suite with 2 beds and a sleeper couch for the 6 of us. We had the brown bag breakfast which was a bagel, granola bar, juice, and coffee. Day and night shift staff was all very friendly and helpful.
