I've stayed at the Hampton Inn at Arvin Tejon Ranch on many occasions due primarily to its location, convenience, and cleanliness/appearance of the property. My only consistent disappointment is that no matter when you visit the property (Summer/Spring/Winter/Fall) the swimming pool is never quite warm enough to be comfortable. The property has alway been maintained in good condition and the breakfast selection is very nice.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an issue I experienced with my recent reservation made through Hotels.com. I booked a double room for two adults and two children. However, upon arrival at the hotel, I was informed that the reservation in the hotel’s system was for one king-size bed only. Additionally, the confirmation email I received did not clearly specify the room configuration, which made it impossible for me to notice the discrepancy in advance. As you can imagine, it was not feasible for four people to sleep comfortably in a single king-size bed. Fortunately, the hotel staff were very kind and provided an additional folding bed, which allowed us to rest for the night. While I appreciate the staff’s effort and hospitality, this situation should not have occurred in the first place. The staff apologized sincerely but explained that they were unable to change the room due to availability. It was clear that this was not an issue caused by the hotel staff, but rather a system or communication error between Hotels.com and the hotel. Unfortunately, this mistake left an unpleasant mark on what was supposed to be an enjoyable family trip. I have been using Hotels.com for over ten years, and this is the first time I have encountered such a problem, which is why I was especially surprised and disappointed.
