Akumal Breakers: A Caribbean Beachfront Paradise in South Akumal, Mexico
Be sure to watch our video!
What’s for dinner? At Akumal Breakers it may be the easiest question you answer all week. Select your meals before you arrive and our staff shops, cooks, serves and cleans up while you are still in the hammock listening to the Caribbean roll over the coral breakers. That is the idea behind everything here: a one of a kind beachfront villa, a white sandy beach, a large pool surrounded by amazing chit and coco palm trees, and a trained, dedicated staff grounded in traditional Mayan hospitality. Akumal Breakers has been one of the highest rated 4+ bedroom beachfront vacation villas in the Akumal area for several years on both TripAdvisor and VRBO.
RELAX. WE TAKE CARE OF THE REST
From the day you book, your group has a private Guest Dashboard with a Trip Planner that covers directions, safety, villa rules and the tips our guests wish they had known sooner. Your Relax Meal Plan lets the group leader pick meals in advance from our menu, and the whole group can see the week at a glance. Staff services are settled on one Statement, so nobody is chasing receipts on vacation. It is a modest fee for a very different kind of week, and our guests say so in their reviews. More below.
SOUTH AKUMAL: A COVETED BEACHFRONT COMMUNITY
Akumal Breakers sits inside the exclusive paved entry enclave of South Akumal, one of the most sought-after beachfront neighborhoods in the Riviera Maya. A 24/7 guarded entrance and a well managed HOA keep the streets, the security and the beach in order, and beach traffic stays light. South Akumal Bay is sheltered by a large cluster of coral breakers that soften the waves, which is why snorkeling, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding is great right off our beach. Jungle Fish Beach Club is a 15 min walk up the beach and Lol Ha is 30 min.
INSIDE THE VILLA
Enjoy dramatic Caribbean views from the spacious living area, bar and kitchen. We have two bedrooms on the ground floor which is great for families of all ages plus two on the second floor and an exterior second floor apartment. Non-slip porcelain floors throughout, so wet feet from the pool are never a worry.
The kitchen and bar carry Dekton stone countertops from Spain and precision laser-cut cabinetry by Ixina, a premier German kitchen company, with a Teka air fry oven and a 4 burner gas range. Cook if you want to. Or let the staff do it and take your coffee to the beach.

Prices are shared after booking and do not include staff tips. Staff are off Sundays and Mexican federal holidays unless arranged in advance.
Relax Meal Plan: Booked guests select up to two meals per day in advance from our menu, and our staff does the shopping, cooking, serving and cleaning up for a very modest fee. One main dish per group meal, with a few special dietary options. Our meals get very high reviews from our guests. Other meal options include staff pickup from our favorite restaurants or dining out, and yes, the kitchen is fully equipped for your many wonderful DIY meals. The full Relax Meal Plan and menu are shared shortly after booking.
GROCERY SHOPPING: The staff will shop for the meals they will prepare and you can order other DIY groceries, snacks and beverages to be delivered to the villa prior to check-in.
MASSAGES: You can book massages upon arrival with staff member Ana, who is a licensed massage therapist.
LAUNDRY: The staff can machine wash and dry 1 load of clothes at no charge but are not responsible for any damages. Machines are not for guest use. Special care not available.
EXTERNAL CHEFS: Not permitted due to a lack of responsibility for our kitchen and proper clean-up. Guests have also commented that previous Chefs were too expensive and they did not get enough to eat.
