Love the Ponderosa!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ponderosa. Nice sized rooms, updated bathrooms and a large living area was perfect.

Carpets stained. Heater air made us all feel like we were getting sick. Debris left under beds. Bedding worn and ragged. Heater vent on stair cut my daughter’s heel.

Cozy home base at Lake Tahoe

This was a perfect place to come home to after a day of taking in hikes and scenery around the lake! Location was perfect— five min to Stateline and great places to eat but situated in a more quiet, less touristy area. Five min walk to lake was nice too!

Great Location!

We stood here in June, no A/C, but manageable with fans. Hot tub on timer as well. We had a good time, I rented this location twice, big thing is being respectful to the residents of the neighborhood. No complaints! :)

Lovely Zephyr Cove Stay

The house was great! Very clean and so homey and comfortable. The owner was also extremely helpful in answering my questions when I arrived. Check-in and check-out were very straightforward. Highly recommend this place!

Great Tahoe home

The house is spacious. The kitchen has everything you need. There was more than ample room for the 7 of us. And the location was beautiful! I wpuld definitely stay there again.

Excellent Stay for the price and area

The home was as shown on the pictures (with no pool table and an extra carpet square or two). The rental had almost everything we needed for a whole week’s stay and was in a great location! It has a great layout for teens who need/want their own space to sleep and hang out ;)

A nice well equipped kitchen - we cooked our own food. Nice comfy beds and privacy in each room. Gate on the spiral staircase was helpful. The kids thought it was great! Deck and spa safe & secure!

Fabulous!

The house itself was great for my family and my friend's family to stay in. Got a little space from all the kids! Also, our host was so accommodating. We had a few issues with an impending storm and the wifi was out in the area and Maria bent over backwards to help us. Would definitely rent with her again!

Large house in great location but needs TLC

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin is a great size to comfortably accommodate 10 people. Bathrooms were nicely updated. Beds,Major appliances and linens were in good shape. However the carpeting was horribly stained through-out the home, the couches fabric was wearing off and torn, and ceiling fans were coated in dust. There was no propane for the grill and it took 3 days with 3 calls to get it refilled, which was unfortunate.

Retreat

The house was a bit dated except the bathrooms! They were very nicely done. Except the downstairs shower head didn't work which we were told the day before check in. It was not great for those staying downstairs, but we made it work. We enjoyed having a fire, eating at the nice table. Enough kitchen supplies for cooking which was nice. Loved just having the code to check in.

Great Getaway Home

The vacation home was as advertised. It was comfortable and plenty spacious for all 8 of us. The home was outfitted with pretty much anything you need. Plenty of warm and comfortable blankets, beds and linens. The kitchen had anything anyone would need for their stay. We entertained 16 and had the room and utensils, kitchen tools, etc. we needed. The only complaint I would have is that the house could use a thorough and deep cleaning - walls, carpet, kitchen, etc. We would rent it again.

House is well maintained

House is well maintained, nice and cozy. Communication all went well. However, I felt two things downsides 1. Slope to the main road with snow became slippery and it led to collision and damaged my front bumper. Not sure what can be done about it. 2. Checkout of 10am seemed a push.

Sheriffs showed up cause false advertising.

Stay was nice up until the final night when the sheriff knocked on the door saying we had to move the cars from out front of the house to zephyr cove because the renter shouldn’t be advertising 5 parking spaces at the property during the winter. Most of my group had been drinking and it made for a real bummer on the last night we had..

Snowy Weekend Getaway

The property overall was super spacious and fit my family well. The bathrooms were all beautifully updated. The house does need a deep cleaning done. The carpets, especially on the spiral staircase were quite dirty. The kitchen needs some updating but does offer everything you need. We weren’t able to use the upper or lower decks because of so much snow. We couldn't really leave the house because of the snow storm but the street was a great place to sled. Maria was very attentive and very accommodating with the check out time as it was snowing pretty heavily.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We needed a place for 10 people, including 4 young kids,which included space for the kids to hang out separately from adults. This house met that criteria, and was within walking distance to the beach. Pros: Accessing house was easy using codes provided by the management company.The bathrooms were remodeled and were very nice, and all bedding was fresh and clean. Bunk beds were a nice tough and kids loved them. There was plenty of beds/space for everyone. No A/C, but most bedrooms had fans. There were nice TVs on both levels. Cons: The carpets were stained and no one wanted to walk barefoot. The kitchen is outdated and the walls and cupboards are not very clean (but were well stocked with supplies). The stairs to the lower level were filthy, and were very, very steep. Older folks struggled to use them, but there was outside access via the deck, which helped. The hot tub was a nice perk, but water was very murky with a strong chlorine smell. Very few wanted to use it. The living room furniture was rustic looking, but was hard to get in and out of due to sagging cushions and being somewhat low to the ground. Finally the decks could use a refresh as they were pretty rough on the feet. Overall it was a convenient place, and was large enough for our group, but not sure we would stay there again.

The pictures make it look bright, clean and airy. It is dark, dingy and musty. The carpets need to be burned - they are so filthy. We wouldn't even walk barefoot in the house. The entire kitchen is sticky and disgusting, especially the cabinets. The kitchen needs to be gutted. There is a rickety spiral staircase that leads downstairs that is not on any website photos and is NOT conducive to small kids, the elderly, or luggage! I had to buy Glade plug-ins to rid the musty smell of the place. The living room furniture is very worn and dirty. The hot tub is old and stained and the water is dirty. The windows and mirrors and child handprints all over them when we arrived and there was blood on the hallway wall. The cleaners did a terrible job. I called to complain about the cleanliness. The saving grace is that the bathrooms have been remodeled, and the property location. This house needs a revamp or a price reduction, and photos that actual look like what you're actually getting. NOT HAPPY.
