Staff was friendly and helpful. Wifi wasn't useable where I was in the hotel, but I feel if I had brought it up they would have fixed it, as they were very helpful. Breakfast is the best part of the stay, it is made to order.

Brilliant say across the Mersey from Liverpool

The Liver View Hotel is an excellent place to stay, just a short ferry ride across the Mersey from Liverpool. The view of Liverpool from my room was stunning. Dave is a friendly and hard working host. The room was excellent, the bed super comfortable, the bathroom clean and efficient. I loved the morning breakfast, which is substantial and tasty. (I would suggest adding yogurt and fresh fruit to the options :>) I had a great stay and recommend this hotel to everyone.

I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience we had at The Liver View. Our host, Dave, and his “mum” treated us like royalty throughout our five night stay. “Chef” Dave prepared excellent breakfasts each morning, gave us great input on how to get around, and things to do. The property was clean and comfortable, and the common area(s) provided a nice social setting to mingle with other guests. The location is as advertised with close proximity to Metro buses as well as the Mersey ferries. On a scale of 1-10 stars I would give them a 12!

Amazing experience ! Very nice location where you can take the ferry to get to the other side of the town. The room itself was also very nice, very comfy bed along with a great view of the city center. But what makes this place even more special was the wonderful hosts we got to meet. Dave is the best host. So helpful, cheerful, and he even helped carry our luggage upstairs. The breakfasts were great, and the rooms are well stocked with everything you need for your stay. And you really can see the Liver Building, and the rest of the Liverpool skyline from the window.

Super host

Super host, who clearly loves what he does and works hard to ensure his guests enjoy their stay. He seems to be in it for the long term and is putting a lot of effort into continually improving the property and the guest experience. A local man with a host of information to help his guests enjoy their visit to Liverpool. We highly recommend.

Very pleasant visit to Liverpool

The view from our room was impressive, and the time we spent in the hotel was very pleasant. Dave helped us with out bags when we arrived (thanks for that, we were exhausted), and was very helpful in giving us guidance on how to take the ferry and general tips and recommendations. The full English breakfast was delicious, I personally liked it a lot. Also thanks for introducing us to friends/family who were there, the conversations we had were interesting as well as informative (the recommendations to buy full day passes in Rome were great, we did do those). This was the first place we visited in our honeymoon. Thanks for everything, I would definitely recommend the Liver View if you’re visiting Liverpool.

Great host!

Our host was wonderfully helpful. Room and breakfast were great. Folks should know that they are on the other side of the Mersy. You need to take a ferry to Liverpool proper. We figured out public transport but it took a little work. Highly recommended as long as you understand the location.

Very friendly and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Lovely rooms & ensuite, awesome breakfast. Two minute walk from ferry port. Buy a Walrus travel card from the local corner shop £1, top up with £5 per day which gives unlimited travel on Liverpool transport, ferry, bus, rail. Ideal location for a trip to Liverpool.

The Liver View

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Liver View. Our host made us feel right at home and was extremely helpful during our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. The location is within minutes walk to the Mersey Ferry and convenience stores. The Ferry Landing also has a nice restaurant for lunch or dinner. Our host couldn't have been nicer and made our stay special. He went out of his way to be helpful and called taxis for us to get to our destinations. We highly recommend the Liver View!
