We loved staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Burnaby B.C. Arrived late at night and the driveway in front of the entrance was blocked. I wanted to check in but there was nowhere to park. Drove for 5-10 min in a circle and had no choice but to park in front of the garage despite 10 signs threatening that my car will be ticketed and towed. When I walked towards the entrance to check in, I was greeted as if I was a burglar. The room was ok. Just like 95% of all Vancouver hotels, it's very old. The main problem was a foul smell in the bathroom. I think the stench was from the shower curtain because it's always sitting in a puddle of water and never dries. I was too tired to request another room so I just put up with the terrible smell. If you arrive in the afternoon and don't get a smelly bathroom, it should be OK.

This our favourite hotel for staycation! We are IHG member as well so we receive extra perks everytime! We will always be back. Breakfast is excellent as always. Beds and bedding comfortable. Bathroom amenities are all very good. Shower is nice with hot strong water. No clogging. Air condition is cold in a hot summer day. Just steps from metropolis mall, restaurants and skytrain and bus loop.,, but whatever noise are oitside, did not bother our sleep and rest. Most of all, the staff are amazing, helpful, friendly and welcoming. Special shout out to the front desk ladies who helped us and provided welcome snacks for us!

In terms of convenience, you can’t beat the location right next to the Metrotown Skytrain Station. We went all over Vancouver easily with the Skytrain and bus. Travelled with teens and they loved being right next to the Metropolis mall as well. Hotel is older for sure, but the staff are fabulous and go out of their way to help you. Try not to get room 423: looks right out onto all the HVAC.

It is a very convenient location of this property, easy access so many business such as shopping, dinning and transportation. Only one concern may bother some people the noise from Skytrain, but not to me at all which I kinda like that noise and view!

Great location since its beside metrotown stop, starbucks , tim hortons and subway. The beds are very comfortable, and breakfast had many options. I highly recommend this place especially traveling with kids since they have a pool and are attached to the biggest mall. I spent 3 hours at the mall and onlu saw one level. My only feedback if there was one would be better instructions on how to get around and where to get a compass card from the staff. Overall this was a great place. Thanks for the complimentary water each day.
