"We stayed here the night before a cruise! I didn’t want the stress of getting to the cruise port from Rome that morning. It’s surprising how more affordable it is compared to Rome! Many places nearby to purchase lunch/dinner and have a beverage along the water. We had some of the nicest waiters/waitresses. We loved the little city and how more low key it was! The cruise bus stops is right down the street maybe 75 yards. (FYI we were told that a taxi was $15pp but a taxi stopped and said he would take us for the same cost as the bus of $6pp, we had 4). The staff at the hotel check-in was okay, and they answered all questions we had! We were disappointed with the breakfast staff there were 2 ladies in the kitchen arguing back and forth and not quiet about it. I put bread in the toaster which was supposed to come out the other end -of course it didn’t I told the worker and she said I didn’t put anything? Yes I know how to use the toaster. 3 people also followed and nothing! After another 5 minutes it’s starting to burn and smell, I again had to break up the kitchen conversation so they could stop the smoke fire that was going to happen! Boy I wish had a translator!! All in all it was good."
