We had a wonderful stay at the Residence Excelsior Aquamar Suite on the Lido of Venice. The apartment was beautifully designed in a yacht-inspired style, making us feel as if we were actually aboard a luxurious boat. Everything was perfect: the check-in process was smooth, the air conditioning worked flawlessly, and the apartment was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bathrooms are a bit dated, but they fit perfectly with the character and atmosphere of the property and never felt out of place. The location is outstanding. You are directly across from the famous Excelsior beach, and from the master bedroom you can enjoy beautiful views of both the beach and the sea. I am Italian, although I now live in the United States, and I grew up spending summers at the Lido di Venezia. Returning here brought back many wonderful memories, and staying at the Residence Excelsior made the experience even more special. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy the unique charm and elegance of the Lido.

Denne lejlighed er en sjældenhed, der skal opleves. Den minder om indretningen på en sejlbåd i træ. Der er træpaneler og flotte skuffer og skabe i massivt mørkt træ. Det ser ud til at være fra 60’erne, men terrassen er måske nyere. Stilen er inspireret af 1920-erne. Man kunne nemt se Poirot bo her og hænge sit tøj i lejlighedens walk in closet. At dømme efter fliserne og håndvaskene må der være blevet renoveret i 1990-erne. Der er siden kommet induktionskogeplade og ny opvaskemaskine og vaskemaskine. Der er to badeværelser, så to par kan dele lejligheden. Eller man kan nemt være der med to voksne børn. Der er højt til loftet både i stuen, hvor der er to behagelige senge, som tjener som sofaer. Soveværelset ligger op ad en del trappetrin. Her er en flot udsigt over havet og også her er meget rummeligt. Der er adgang til det store badeværelse med badekar. Køkkenet er delt i en kogeø og et rum med vask og vaskemaskine. I køkkenområdet kan man kun være én person. Der er et spisebord ved køkkenet med plads til fire. Og der er plads til flere på terrassen. Vi var der udenfor sæsonen, i september. Der var meget stille, da ingen naboer var i de andre lejligheder. Men deres terrasser er meget tæt på, så der er ikke så meget privatliv, når man sidder udenfor. Stranden hører til Hotel Excelsior. Vi nød at morgenbade. Hvis man gerne vil sole sig, kunne man ligge på molerne eller tage til den offentlige strand. Med bus tager det kun 7 min (med vaporettokortet) til båden. De kører ofte.
