Van Horn

It was a cold night (17*) and the power went off for an hour. Heater was loud and because of the cold, didn't heat the room well. Breakfast was limited, coffee was really just brown water. Desk clerk was pleasant.

A good night's stay for the price

Hey, if you're looking for a 5-star hotel, stay elsewhere. But for a 1-night stay, this motel is great and I would stay there again. It is on the main strip. There are not many places to eat in Van Horn, but the night staff was helpful to tell us where the best breakfast in town was--the Country Grill at the Chevron station. Everything appeared clean, even the carpet. The best features of the room was that there was an actual closet for hanging clothes and the bathroom was all in one room--not split with shower/toilet in one room and sink in the bedroom. There were plenty of towels and soap, but no kleenex.

Pleasant Experience

Clean convenient hotel. Lobby personnel friendly and helpful.I only stayed overnight on a roadtrip. Then price was reasonable and the room clean and comfortable. Only downside was the shower was not as hot as I would have liked. Will stay again if in that area.

Mildewed shower

Try the El Capitan if you are in Van Horn. The knights in tries, but the shower smelled like mildew, and when i turned on the heater it smelled like burning dust. The bed was very comefortable though.
