The usual problems/frustrations for a Timber Creek property
I’ve stayed at many many Timber Creek properties, and the issues are pretty much universal. Frankly, if it weren’t for the location, i would never stay there. The price used to also be a plus, but the price hikes for midweek stays over previous years have caused me to mostly stay at chain hotels in Truckee. This time I had friends with me who wanted to be in the village, so we paid the price. The issues, which are fundamental to a comfortable night of sleep, are:1. The thermostat does not control the room temperature. It was too hot, and we had to have the window open all night and continually modulate it.2. The hot water in the shower pulses to scalding repeatedly, which is extremely painful and dangerous.3. No instructions on how to operate the TV, thermostat, or other appliance.4. No welcome book of hotel or local amenities.5. No provision to remain in the parking space the day after out night stay so that we can ski without the hassle of parking, which is why we are staying at Timber Creek to begin with (a set of bogus excuses are always given about maids using the space, but we know we are just being lied to, which makes it worse. I came by many times, nobody ever used the space)6. Blackout curtains are broken and inadequate.

Great for Ski in- and out, but small
Great location! Close to some many great thing in the village especially mountain access. Parking was amazing. Nice to have covered parking when it snows. Not much room when traveling with snow/ski things. Wish the bathroom light was blocked to the main room. Didn't see a lot of details about the pool location.

3 night stay
We had a warm, cozy, clean place to come home to after a day at the snow. And we had an everything market close-by. Can’t wait to come back

Excellent place for easy getaway
We recently stayed here for a weekend lacrosse tournament and it was a great choice. Perfect location in the village, easy check in and out, close dedicated parking spot, elevator to the condo, good communication with the owner, and though room is like a hotel room it has everything we needed including a mini-fridge. Access to the pool was also easy and appreciated. Only suggestion is some blackout curtains for us light-sensitive sleepers, esp because the village has twinkle lights up for ambiance. Otherwise it’s the perfect place for a getaway at a great price!

Cozy Retreat in Truckee/Northstar
We recently stayed at this charming short-term rental in Truckee for a soccer tournament, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality.
The location was ideal, nestled in the serene beauty of Northstar Resort in Truckee with easy access to both the tournament venue and nearby amenities. The cozy atmosphere of the rental provided a perfect sanctuary for our family after long days of cheering on our team.
The interior was tastefully decorated and immaculately clean, with comfortable furnishings that made us feel right at home. The air conditioning was a nice reprieve after long days in the sun.
One of the highlights was the outdoor patio, where our two children played cards, ate breakfast and read in between games.
Overall, our experience at this Truckee retreat was nothing short of wonderful. The hosts were attentive and accommodating, ensuring that our stay was memorable and hassle-free. We would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient getaway in the Northstar/Truckee area. We can't wait to come back!
