5 out of 5Posted 4 days agoWindrose Cottage -Quiet & Romantic Near Beach!Travelocity Verified Review"The cottage is like a fairy tale house, nestled in a grouping of large private houses on a manicured rolling lawn, located on a forested hillside. The general property overlooks the ocean with peekaboo views from the windows and the deck of the rental. We used the kitchen for breakfasts and walked down the hill to a mildly strenuous trail down to a jewel of a beach (which is apparently also clothing optional). The public road to and from was a bit treacherous due to recent rains, but the views made it worth the nail biting. The cottage itself was tastefully decorated, very clean, and has a bathtub that may have converted me from a shower to a bath person. Looking up from the bathtub through the window in the ceiling you can see towering trees framing the sky. Truly special. Comfortable bed. Cozy gas fireplace.
