"We absolutely loved staying here, we were here for Manchester marathon and the hotel was just what we needed and more for our stay. Great location, a short walk from Old Trafford where the race started, but also has a tram stop close by to get into the centre. The hotel was so clean and well kept, the staff were so lovely and helpful. Our room was really spacious, clean, great amenities. The breakfast was also probably the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had, every hotel does similar things as you’d expect, but the food here was hot, perfectly cooked, full of choice and just very delicious. If you’re visiting Manchester I would recommend staying here 100%!!"

"We arrived at approximately 9pm, slightly later than advised. Although the front door was locked, the manager (I assume) was still there, cleaning. He let us in when I telephoned and kindly carried our case up to the room. The room itself was clean, fresh, well equipped. However, the room was extremely cold on arrival. We were told that the heating would be turned on, but unfortunately the radiator remained cold throughout the entire night. As a result, the room never warmed up. Due to the lack of heating, we were extremely cold and unable to sleep so we packed up and left before 7am, having effectively been unable to make use of the accommodation. While the room itself was of good quality, the failure of the heating meant our stay fell well below a reasonable standard, and represents a disappointing service failure. This was raised with the property but they refused to acknowledge there was an issue. "

"The air temperature control is a major issue—it keeps turning off on its own, and there’s no way to restart it. You’re left waiting for it to come back on, which can be very uncomfortable. Having a fan in the room would at least help as a backup. Overall, Media City really needs more quality luxury hotel options."
