Valverde Glamping & Ecolodge
"Staff were excellent especially Kaylor and the team, very warm and helpful with organising our tours. Food options also very good and place is quiet and in the middle of nature. Accomodation is ok, little bit rustic but then it is an eco lodge and you paying for seclusion and to be close to wildlife. ..."

"Our bungalow was excellent and the air conditioning came in very handy. Property is beautifully presented and within easy walking distance of Tortuguero village. Guides are excellent so Id recommend tours through the hotel - the pricing is reasonable and it's much more convenient."

"We stayed in the hotel as a party of six people with two teenagers sharing a room with two adults and two adults in a room on their own. Pachira Lodge
"The hotel is close to the Tortuguero NP which means you will probably need to get a boat to get there. Once there it is a beautiful resort with a series of cabins connected by paths. The place is teeming with life. As soon as we arrived a group of spider monkeys started playing on the path to our cabin, right in front of us. You can book many activities at the front desk. We did the canal by boat, went to see the green turtles lay eggs at the beach and a night walk to spot some animals. They also have a large pool and restaurant and bars. The one reason why I am not giving it a top score is because the cabins were pretty basic. They were clean, but matresses could have been more comfortable. The bathroom had a shower with all the basic toiletries. There was no TV, fridge or air conditioning. Luckily for us, it was not extremely hot during our stay or otherwise it would have been impossible to sleep. On the plus side it had a small terrace where you could sit and enjoy the jungle around you. Breakfast was served everyday in the main restaurant. It was good and there was plenty to choose from, with cold and hot options. We had dinner in the restaurant as well. It was buffet style with a limited number of options to choose from, but enough for the two nights we spent there. Nevertheless, I think it is one of the best options to stay near Tortuguero and enjoy all the nature around you."
