Too strict on the check in time. Was an hour early and had to wait the hour. Seemed quite petty to put someone through that who has stayed there several times. Also, the room heater ran too hot and we had to call the front desk for them to send someone up to get the TV to work. Also did not provide a receipt upon check out. They said Travelocity would send me the receipt.

The internet did not work properly. There are supposed to be 2 guest elevators and 1 service elevator. When we arrived only the service elevator was working. On the 4th day, that elevator qut working for two days. We were on the 7th floor so had to use the stairs for two days. They never informed us when the elevator was down and never informed us when it was working again. Even when it was down, they had signs pointing to use it. The rooms were not filthy, but not real clean.

The lobby is nice, but the rooms are horrible. All of the elevators are broken- we took the stairs to our 6th floor room multiple times. One of the beds was broken/on verge of collapse. The room was so hot (thermostat did nothing) that we slept with the window open. In JANUARY. Anyone considering staying here should read the abundance of negative google reviews, which I should have done. Not worth it for a nice lobby.

Very rundown hotel, walk to the elevator was very inconvenient, AC did not work in any rooms or the hotel, the room was not clean, room was not serviced during our extended stay. Pool was nice. They did have breakfast but it was the same options every single day, very bland. They did decorate for the season which was thoughtful. Would work on a budget but you get what you pay for.

Kinda seedy -- didn't feel particularly safe as a single woman traveler. Everything is clearly pretty old and run down. Breakfast wasn't very good, the coffee machine in my room was broken, etc.

For a quick overnight, the hotel wasn’t bad. You definitely get what you pay for. The staff were great. The breakfast was hot with waffles, eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy. The breakfast attendant was amazing. The hotel is old and sad. All of the elevators were down, resulting in having to go up and down 5 stories of stairs. The hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. The room was warm and I don’t know if it really cooled down with the thermostat. The shower had mold and there was evidence of water and mold damage in the ceiling. The hotel in general needs a massive deep clean and some love.

Room was 99 degrees to start. Then a fuse blew. Instead of upgrading us for the inconveniences, they put is in a smaller room. Also, we had to go all the way down to the front desk from the 10th floor to get new keys. Our new room was also on the 10th floor.

We arrived when a snow storm was ending. To put it into perspective, we were hauling a 30 foot camper and all our chains and gear were frozen. We couldn't disconnect to go pick up supplies or supper. The snow wasn't removed from sidewalks or the parking lot at all during our stay. The 1st room we were assigned had cockroaches in it. The clerk wanted to give us a room next door to it instead. I declined any room from that floor. The 2nd room was 98 F with no temperature control. We asked for a different room. The 3rd room we found bugs in the morning. While at Ramada, not a single restaurant would deliver to the hotel. We tried Door Dash, but not even they would deliver to the hotel. We had our crackers and cheese from our road trip for our supper. When we were leaving in the morning, the parking lot was still covered in ice and snow exactly as it was when we arrived, only now it was much harder to maneuver out of the parking lot. We will never stay at Ramada again.

We visited the Topeka Ramada in November. We were pleased to find it conveniently located to downtown and a variety of restaurants. No smoking is allowed in the building and our room was perfectly clean; it didn't even smell like cleaning solution! Some might consider the decor outdated but we found it to be charming. The bed was comfortably firm and there was a good bit of floor space, evn with a full size refrigerator! The atrium was a lovely place to have breakfast and there were a variety of tasty hot and cold selections. As seniors, we appreciated the elevators! The staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that the heat was centrally controlled and our room got rather warm. We opened a window for a bit and then we were fine. If business ever takes me to Topeka again, I would stay here in a heartbeat.
