Wonderful old hotel in downtown area, which is why it’s a little shabby. The building has a very interesting history and if you enjoy off the beaten path, then you’ll love this place. Just don’t expect a modern hotel.

The pictures are misleading. The bar/restaurant looked permanently closed. Tried to swim and the pool was closed due to having too many chemicals. The room was fine, the staff was awesome. But the hotel itself is not what is advertised. It was as expensive as a brand new hotel down the street. I feel scammed.

Check in with Savon was quick and easy! Room cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Due to COVID I brought a black light with us on trip. This was the 3rd hotel of trip and by far the most dirty. Beds were clean but handles and bathroom were big fails.

I really liked the size and the furnishings of the living room in the king suite! The only thing that bothered me is that the bathroom is in the bedroom instead of the living room so it is accessible to other guests not sleeping in the bedroom.

The hotel is a bit older property in an area of very busy streets and not much. The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Not enough outlets in the rooms—some lamps with an ability to plug things in would be a huge improvement. The restaurant was sorely understaffed and our check-in staff was a bit rude. Otherwise the staff was pleasant. Expense for a pet was very high compared to other Ramada’s we have used.

We called at least a couple of weeks ahead of our trip to request a specific room that we stay in every time. We were assured it would not be a problem. When we arrived they wanted to charge us almost double for that room. We have stayed in that room every visit without an up-charge, but there was no compromising on their end this time. The indoor pool & jacuzzi was completely out of service for our entire visit. The daily breakfast buffet never changed over 5 days. It used to rotate out every other day. Finally I noticed that every time I was in the room we would become very congested, and the room smelled of mildew. On the last night we noticed the carpet was wet, and the wall on the backside of where the shoe is was extremely soft. As much as my family once loved visiting this hotel we will be making other arrangements from now on.
