Construction in KS City; our exit was closed off I-70 but we found it on Google Maps. Customer Service (Marcus) was excellent. Rooms were clean. Probably more amenities (sans covid). Overall good place to stay.

This was a very beautiful environment. Very nice and helpful staff. Needs improvement on gathering trash out of rooms but other than that they were amazing.

Hilton Garden consistently comfortable and clean

Pros: everything
Location: Close to where I had my meetings the next day.
I've stayed in different Hilton Garden Inns across the country and they are consistently clean, comfortable, bright and airy and incredibly inexpensive for all that. The staff is always friendly . The Kansas City hotel was just as nice as the others. This is the way to run a hotel.

Home for a funeral

I arrived for a funeral on January 4th...the front desk staff was pleasant, the room was clean and nicely decorated. I needed some extra cups and the front desk staff was very helpful. The next morning i ate breakfast in the restaurant in the lobby. My omelette was good, coffee was hot and juice was fresh squeezed. Check out was simple and easy and parking behind the hotel was on a covered garage and free. It was pleasant and i would stay there again.

Nice hotel with awesome staff close to KCMO

Pros: Convenient to downtown KCMO.
Cons: Room was cold, 59 degrees, at check in, but warmed up right away.
Location: Minutes from downtown Kansas City, MO.
The staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. In room refrigerator and Kurig coffee maker. Hair dryer worked, so my wife and daughter were happy.

Starting to fray around the edges.

I like Hilton Garden Inns because they are usually uniformly clean, well-run and well-maintained. The Kansas City HGI, though is OK but doesn't meet their standards. The shower curtain had black mold in a large portion of the center, the caulking showed mold, the white duvet was quite yellow and worn, the carpet was worn and my $12 breakfast, made to order, had overdone scrambled eggs (brown) and cold, tough sausage links. The hotel staff was pleasant, but showed a lack of training at times - though the woman who made up my room was wonderful. She was thorough, obviously cared very much about leaving a clean, orderly room, and was just delightful. I wish I'd gotten her name to commend her to her bosses. One other note: I stayed on a Friday night, the night of the Royals ALCS game, and was out until 2:30 a.m. I planned to get up at 10:30 to be sure I checked out by noon. I had a full day of driving ahead of me. At 9 a.m., however, the front desk called me to remind me that I had to be sure to check out in person (which was written on the room door). This is not cool. Some people like to sleep in on a Saturday! If it's that important, then put a prominent note on the TV stand or something. (And a minor detail, but when she called, she said "I want to make sure 'you guys' check out in person." A better-trained staff would see on the chart that I was a lone woman and an even better-trained staff would have addressed me by name. Nit-picky? Perhaps. But another detail.

Great location

Pros: The hotel was nice and clean, parking was great.
Cons: Staff friendliness and accommodations.
Location: The downtown plaza is less than 15 minutes away. Power and light district is less than 10 minutes away.
Hotel was in a great location, close to the downtown Plaza and close to Power & Light District. We made reservations over 3 weeks prior and we ended up with a handicap accessible room, we called down to the front desk to be switched but they told us we couldn't switch our room. They were not accommodating or empathetic to us wanting a regular room. When we checked out the front desk clerk asked how our stay was, I told her that we wished we were given a regular room, she shrugged her shoulders and said maybe next time. The overall hotel and parking was nice, but I'll be more clear that we don't want to be put in a handicap accessible room.
