"Citadines - Good Choice"
We stayed in the Studio Executive Twin room. We based our decision on reviews that were on Trip Advisor. Absolutely the best decision we made. It suited our needs. We decided on the executive level because we were staying a week and wanted the extra room. We also chose twin beds for the same reason. The reviews read the twin rooms are bigger. It was worth every cent. The rooms are basic and clean. We had a small refrigerator, a love seat sized couch and a huge bathtub. The bonus for us was the staff at the front desk spoke english.

"My favorite hotel in Japan"
I stayed in 3 different hotels throughout my Japan travel (2 in Tokyo, and 1 in Kyoto). The Citadines is BY FAR my favorite hotel. This was my first time traveling to Japan so I didn't really know what to expect in terms of hotel hospitality. The Citadines blew me away. First, the staff is amazing. The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful. I asked about a million questions regarding train travel and transportation... They knew all the answers and told me exactly how to get around the city. You can tell that they truly want to help their guests and provide the best service. They are also quick with check-in. Second, the hotel is very clean and comfortable. The rooms are smaller compared to American hotel rooms but it really wasn't so bad. The beds were comfortable and I really liked how the bathroom had full size shampoo, conditioner, and soap bottles. I'm so used to 'travel size' bottles in hotel rooms, so this was a nice luxury. I'd happily take a smaller room for full size soap bottles! Third, breakfast is really nice. There was a nice variety of American and Japanese food - french toast, bread, yogurt, fruit, cereal, eggs, potatoes, sticky rice, chicken curry, these are a few things I can remember. At another hotel I stayed at, breakfast only consisted of Japanese food which was difficult. Fourth, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. You really can't beat it. It's next to golden gai - which was my favorite part. Kabukicho is also fun!
