Small, quiet vinyard with secure and spacious bungalows that have easy acess to other larger venues for dining and entertainment. You can go wine tasting, ballooning, spas administering a large variety of treatments, old town (western), jeeping, etc. and still come back to serenity! Carter's is the hidden gem of Temecula Valley!

Bungalow was spacious ,clean and quiet. Location of property excellent. Service was always prompt. Would have been nice to have restaurant/bar on property for dinner but shuttle was provided to sister property close by.

It was just ok
The good: the sunset views from the room and the walking trail around the property was beautiful, loved how they had fresh coffee in the lobby. Also loved how the rooms were so separate, like little villas. It had a jetted tub, didn’t use it, but it looked nice. I liked how the free continental breakfast was delivered to your room every day. The bad: the Murphy bed was not comfortable, we stood there for 4 days and 3 nights and did not receive any cleaning services while we were there. The room was not very clean, and when we pulled up the Murphy bed to sit on the sofa, it was missing two cushions and a picture frame. The free breakfast was okay, not really breakfast though, but they do offer hot breakfast for a fee. The spa where the pool was located looked really old and dirty, like it needed to be re-plastered so we didn’t go in it. Regarding the missing cushions: when I went to the front desk to voice my concerns about the condition of the room and la k of cleaning service, I was told that they don’t clean the room unless you are staying for more than three nights ( even though the form they provided to us at check-in said that cleaning is provided for 3 night or more stays and the the cleaning would be done on second night of stay) they attempted to make it right by offering to waive resort fee and later stopped by the room to drop off extra towels and shampoos. Overall: it was an okay experience, for what I paid a night, I would not stay here again.

I have never stayed at a winery that didn’t give you a bottle of wine or a free tasting at there tasting room. The place was beautiful and I enjoyed my stay. I would definitely go back.

Great resort! Huge, beautiful room. One of the biggest bathrooms I've ever seen. Very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the wine tasting. Only thing at all negative is the complimentary breakfast. Recommend you skip it and go out for breakfast. Not very substantial and the coffee was so bad I couldn't drink it.

Husband and I came for a couple of nights. Wanted to get away but not to far from home and this was the perfect place. Place was nice and clean and had complimentary breakfast , your choice of yogurt with granola, muffin, and fruit and choice of coffee or other drinks. The best part that they brought it to you . The location of this hotel is perfect. Quiet. Beautiful. Transportation shuttle on site drops you off at sister property, which is walkable to restaurants and other wineries from there. Plus one winery/tasting room on direct site as well. Pool was lovely. Surprised to find a hot tub there too! And the in room spa jet tubs were great too. Glad we picked this place! Bonus: Our grapeline wine tour picked was door to door from here too.

This place was amazing! Pool was heated and so I got to go swimming in March. Jacuzzi bath tub was a big bonus. Went out of season so there were no grapes but was such an amazing view. They gave me a free bottle when i got there. Amazing experience would definitely go again.

A Hidden Diamond
We consider the Carter Estate Winery and Resort to be a hidden diamond. They only have 42 suites, and all have a vineyard view. Each suite has a large soaking tub and a roomy walk-in shower. There are limited food options but, you will receive a small complimentary breakfast of pastries, fruit, and coffee. There is also an on-site grill that serves food from 11 - 3 pm. And if you like champagne, the Carter wine tasting room has some of the finest available. All in all, I think you will find that your stay at Carter will only enhance your Temecula visit.
