Nice cozy place to stay in Ridgeway! SUPER nice staff! Rooms were spacious and had a rustic appeal. Oversized tub and kitchenette were unexpected bonuses. Cons: Decor was a little dated, A/C and rooms were LOUD, and there was considerable amount of deferred maintenance that needed done, but otherwise a very pleasant stay. Recommended for Ridgeway!

I thought it was a beautiful establishment. Outdated but pleasing. Disappointed out hot tub leaked but we used the big hot tub instead. Disappointed sky bar was not open yet we got 2 free drinks at check in. Staff were helpful. All considered during a pandemic did very well at keeping everyone safe.

small room for the cost, decent amenities.

Very expensive, small room with no air conditioning on the 3rd floor, 94 degree days. Friendly staff, nice restaurant on premises. Most likely will not return.

Nice place, nice amenities

Pros: Quiet and overall comfortable
Cons: Better climate control in the rooms, would get a little warm in the room. Room\Bed a little small.
Location: Beautiful mountain terrain everywhere... Hiking, fishing, etc. Later in the fall the Aspen colors are outstanding. Limited options for meals.
We stayed in the Ouray room, room was comfortable, but Queen bed is just OK, overall room is pretty small. Did not really have a chance to use the pool or hot tub, and these looked inviting. Restaurant and menu was somewhat limited and expensive, but it was one of hte ONLY options in the town of Ridgway. In the mornings we could not find anywhere to eat, since we had to travel north we ended up going to Montrose for most of our meals. Ridgway is a nice quaint town but very limited services.

Spa Experience Adds Value

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, well equipped spa
Chipeta Sun Lodge and Spa provides a comfortable experience in a rustic setting. Besides the attractive and roomy 2 story condo with 3 sinks, refrigerator, TV/wireless, and separated lounging and sleeping areas, the extras were special. The indoor spa and outdoor pool were attractive and well cared for and the lounge was cosy. The restaurant was beautiful and provided live music. However, the food was just average and no continental breakfast was provided.

Chipeta Sun Lodge and Spa

Everything about the Chipeta Lodge is relaxing; their people are vary helpful and accommodating. We stayed 3 nights in early Aug (Sun - Tue) and the resturant was not available, however the views are spectacular and the whole experience was enjoyable. We plan to return before the snow flies.

Had a Great Time- Skiing is wonderful

We stayed at the Chipeta Sun Lodge and Spa right before Christmas. With our room we recieved free ski tickets to Telluride Ski Resort as part of a promotion the hotel was offering. We had a great time. The snow conditions in Telluride were great. Apparently, the snow this year is above average for the area. The staff at the Chipeta were great and very helpful and knowledgable about the area. We also recieved passes to a local hot spings which was a great winter treat. Our room was comfortable and we got one of the coveted rooms with private hot tubs on the balcony which i definately recommend in the winter. It was wonderful watching the snowfall from our hot tub! We will return to Chipeta!
